Sound is really pretty good, use with katana 50 amp. Sounds better with clean tones but still good with distortion and low end. Only issue is they are a bit warm even just sitting and playing for a bit. But think that's normal for enclosed headphones. need totally enclosed for my use if able would get semi open if I could

Very pleased with the sound quality and the ease of use. Light weight and is great hanging out by pool and getting splashed on. Would most definitely buy again for myself or as a gift.

I'm no audiophile to know my sounds as well as others here, but I do enjoy these headphones greatly. I needed a good studio headphone for my animation courses and the college recommended in buying Audio Technica. I have definitely heard of them around the tech community of Youtubers so I found myself it was now a good chance to buy them. However, as a college student, I have a spending budget. I didn't want to get the lower end headphones to waste money on but I didn't want to go overboard and spend too much. The ATH-M40x was my best bet for under $100. I don't have that many high-end headphones to compare to, but I have my gaming headset of the HyperX Cloud II's for a comparison. The soundstage is much wider and the bass is amazing. Some sounds are much sharper and clearer, especially instruments with the drums as there were faints sounds I didn't hear with the Clouds. Oh, and these after definitely louder than the Clouds by a far mile. When I switched from the Clouds to the M40x's, the sound and volume difference was huge. I didn't need to put my volume high at all. I adjusted the settings on the lower end and it's still pretty clear. Overall, they're a great buy for the price.

Sounds great, noise cancellation is excellent. Added bonus is that unlike many similar headphones you can use the headphone jack without using battery power. Also notable is that the buttons are on the underside of the cans, so you don't inadvertently change volume or shut off if your head is on a pillow or gets bumped in some way. Great Value!

Not sure there is any better for the price. Some of my friends are getting their own to replace more expensive mics.

My husband uses this speaker more than I do, but he's been super impressed with it. The volume can amplify very well, sometimes a little *too* well. The lights can be a little distracting, but cool to look at. We haven't used it near any water, so I can't comment to that, but it makes for some good music at parties and streaming from devices other than the TV.

Sounds extremely good for the price. Sounds identical to some much more expensive options.

Sound is Great! A bit heavy and no on and off switch but still give it 5 stars!
