Not sure why there are any negative reviews
The adhesion on these might be a little too intense, but the brightness is great for small spaces! Definitely not too dim. We use one in our tent and another for reading at night.

It’s ok
The good part of these is they are easy to install and they’re bright but it’s really a problem to search for the on button when you need light.
