I have been looking for a split screen baby monitor that came with 2 cameras for a long time now. This baby monitor is exactly what I have been looking for. I love the option of being able to see both kids on the same screen despite being in separate rooms. I find the cameras are clearer in daytime, and are not quite as clear at night time. I have another baby monitor that is also 780p picture quality that is better than these cameras at night so they aren't that clear, but you can still see what's going on. I have had a couple problems with mine not responding to any button to get the screen to turn on on so I have to restart the baby monitor to be able to see what's going on in both rooms which is a little annoying considering it's a brand new baby monitor. It makes me wonder how long this monitor is going to last if its having problems like that already. The battery life is AMAZING though. I have never seen it below fully charged and I keep it off the charger during naps and after my toddler goes to bed at 7pm until I go to bed, so I really love that I don't have to carry the charger around with me all the time. I would recommend this camera despite the problems I have been having, and the not AS great of picture quality at night .

Bought this system after watching the "how-to" setup video (posted just below product pics) that is available to watch when looking at the product on Amazon website. Seemed easy enough and the guy who did the video was step-by-step on his game. Product arrived intact and well boxed. 4 cameras all ready to be hung up. Found an old 16" monitor laying around the house, went out and bought a HDMI cord and followed the video instructions without much hitch at all. Hooking the unit up was a breeze. Cord that attaches the NVR unit to my router/modem could be longer (only because now I have to keep the monitor and the NVR machine directly next to my home office desktop.) Turned everything on and plugged in the cameras - instant viewing. We put the cameras up on 4 corners of the house to view the exterior. Helpful hint wound have been what I suppose is obvious to some folks - the higher the camera, the broader the footage view. Syncing to my phone seemed daunting and I put it off for a day, but I finally dove in, watched the video again off the Amazon product site and sure enough, it was done in less than 5 minutes. Had to sync the phone with the scan method (don't use the scan mark provided in the pamphlet that comes with the NVR, you have to scan the mark that popped up on the NVR screen at one of the prompts provided in the video. All in all, it was easier than I thought and I tend to give up on this kind of higher level computer stuff but it was worth it. Now I can do it all from my phone and even mess with my animals when I use the speaker to talk to them from my phone when they're visible in the camera! Definitely recommend this to anyone who thinks that home installation is too hard to do. High quality cameras and visuals, infrared at night is awesome and installation was easy. The NVR unit seems to run itself at this point. Very happy with this purchase!

I have had four Amcrest 1080p PTZ cameras up and running in a vacation home for approximately 3-4 years. Today I needed to change the settings for motion detection notification via email, and unfortunately made an mess of the existing settings and temporarily lost motion detection notification capability. I went straight to tech support because unbeknownst to me, setting up two step verification was required to make the changes I was trying to make work correctly. "Hector" patiently guided me through the process of correctly setting up the first camera (splashtop remote access needed this time) and he stayed with me, while I went through the process for each of the three other cameras. The initial setup steps were easy when first purchased and set up, but apparently, as the cameras sat and grew older, the security around them via internet providers had improved and made this work-through necessary by enabling two-step verification. Overall I have been very happy with the cams, motion detection is again up and working well, and I will go back to Amcrest again when it's time to upgrade or replace. I have used tech support 3-4 times over the past 3-4 years of cam ownership and always hang up satisfied and with my camera problems solved. Thanks Amcrest! It has been a very pleasant surprise to see you stand behind and support your product!

I had super high hopes for this product. First of all the camera is laggy by like 5 seconds which is just annoying? The sound quality is okay. And it keeps disconnecting from the app. I’ve gotten 20 cameras that almost work better. The temperature reading always stays at 64 degrees which is inaccurate because we can tell when it’s hot or cold in the room and it just stays the same.

This is really neat, but not terribly useful.I loved it at first but after a while I lost interest and unless you have a camera that can take pictures via remote you have to use the self timer. Though the self timer is easy enough for me to do, my mom, dad or wife seem to be a bit more intimidated by this step. So for casual users who are comfortable with the self timer and who do not mind leaving a big stick stuck to their camera or who do not mind carrying this thing around with them for spontaneous use, then this is a great little tool.For all the rest of the world this is a novelty. I though it was a great solution in search of a problem. I am afraid it will always be in search of that problem because it is just not that hard to hold a camera at arms length and take a picture.I have to admit though that it is handy on vacations or places where you will be taking a lot of pictures of yourself.also it does not work on big cameras, even big point and shot cameras. I have a few different cameras, a small sony, a bigger panasonic and a canon DSLR. The sony works well, the panasonic is a bit shaky and the canon is just way too heavy to work at all. In fact I am afraid it might break and drop the DSLR so I don't even try this.with all that in mind I like it but cannot recommend it to anyone except as a novelty, a stocking stuffer, or for those on vacation who want to be in their own pictures but make it look like someone else snapped the shot.

EDIT 2020-04-22: Amcrest has actually updated the firmware for these devices, as of late March 2020. I went ahead and applied the update to all of my cameras. Thankfully they have FIXED the video playback issue in the browser, AND now Google Chrome works!! I am raising my review to five stars, for the awesome image quality, and the fact that they fixed the bugs in the firmware.I purchased several of these PoE cameras for home security. Overall, they are excellent as a camera, but the horrible management interface holds it back from being a five-star product.PROS---------------- Excellent image quality, both day and night- Robust, metal construction- Easy to mount to any surface- RTSP stream is easily consumable- Captures still images (JPEG) in addition to video- Records directly to FTP server- Supports power over ethernet (PoE) for simple installation- Supports H.265 video compression- Supports audio-based recording triggerCONS----------------- Video preview doesn't work in the browser (use VLC to connect to RTSP stream instead)- Web management interface works in Firefox only, not Google Chrome- No firmware updates available- Checking for firmware updates on Amcrest website requires entering an e-mail address- Cameras are very "chatty" on the network. Repeatedly trying to reach out to servers with these IP addresses: 52.42.224.222 and 54.226.164.99. I've blocked access to these IP addresses on my router.- Video occasionally cuts out to grey frame, when certain features are enabled (hard to pinpoint root cause)

Bought it for my baby niece and I have to say it is one of the best monitors in the market. It has both audio and video, it comes with a wall mount so you can place it in a strategic location without bothering the baby and it is super high quality. It comes with two cameras so you can set it up in different spaces, like the baby's room and the living room, for example. Will definitely recommend

I use this to troubleshoot cameras all the time and it works awesome. I haven't come across a camera that wasn't compatible yet. It's also extremely useful as an ip scanner tool instead of having to carry a laptop around. Battery life is decent but could be better. There are plenty of these for sale online under different brand names so make sure you compare the prices.
