Excellent telescope!
This little telescope is far easier than anything I’ve ever used. Setup takes seconds, and if you buy a couple of decent lenses and a 3x Barlow you’ll be in for a treat. Even if you spend another 100 or so on accessories you’ll be better positioned than more complicated scopes - my friends have enormous reflector/refractors that they hardly ever use because of the weight and complications. With this little guy you’ll be using it all the time.I also suggest a good sturdy tripod. The base this comes with is adequate, however, if you add lenses and a phone adapter the weight makes positioning difficult. But with a good tripod this baby is rock solid. Start with the basic scope (don’t bother with the finder scope - IMO it is useless and futile). Just aim like a rifle mount and it’ll all work out. Become familiar with the night sky and soon you’ll be exploring like a pro.For the money you can’t beat this!

added this to my cheap lil tripod and now we have
it does exactly what i needed it for, for a great price and I have no complaints. We're using it to take family photos with the timer on an Iphone. I was just sick of propping the phone up on things every time we had a family event and this is saving my butt.

Good up close... meh from any distance.
When held up close to my mouth, (3 or 4 inches away) I've been able to easily capture very clear sound with minimal background noise (without any special sound absorbent materials around), but when using the provided small tripod (as cute and sturdy as it is,) and sitting it on the desk, my voice was just not captured strongly enough for any uses beyond something like skyping, where only the most basic quality is needed. So, for my uses, I'll be holding that little tripod folded up as a handle. Works for me.Zero issues with the drivers (as there aren't any), it was just plug and play USB. (win10 in my case, but I assume most modern, or even recent OSs would perform similarly) I used Audacity for best results, but my issues with other software were the fault of the various software, and not the mic.

So far so good
Needed a web cam to use for online classes and didn't want to spend a lot. Truly plug and play on my macbook, and the video quality honestly looks better than most of my classmates. My monitor is pretty high on my desk, so the tripod that it comes with is very nice to hand so I can just put the camera wherever I want on my desk.

You won’t be disappointed!
Exactly as described! I got this because my boyfriend and I travel relatively often but we rarely find anyone who can take good photos for us. If you’re looking for something that can fit on your desktop to film videos, etc — this is definitely too tall for that. But if you plan on standing or at least being further away from the tripod, then it’s fine!

Works well for the price!
I managed to fit my Canon T5i with grip with no problem. I have the main pocket configured for easy access to everything without having to fully open the area. People have mentioned that it will not stand on it's own, which is an easy fix. If you have a piece of wood laminate or some strong cardboard 3"x6-8" in size and slide it the bottom where the tripod pocket on the bottom is and it will stand.

Love the new improvements
Definitely like this tripod better than my last one I purchased. Few new improvements that I like are the feel of the quality it the material it's made from and the reassurance of the locking tabs and functions. There are noticable clicks and feel of pressure when you lock things in place. It gives you the sense of a secure and tight lock. Even when fully extended it doesn't feel loose or wobbly.
