Good range and ease of use
Perfect for taking on walks thru fields or woods. Lightweight, sturdy, easy focus, packs easily, great for bird watching or whatever you what to see at a closer range. We were able to watch a litter of young fox play outside the den! Definite YES! Attaching the smart phone camera takes a bit of getting used to. Practice before heading out. I align the camera phone to attachment first, then attach it to monocular & it works easily for me that way.

Great baby monitor but even better customer servic
I bought this back in 2019 before my baby was born after having many friends recommend this monitor. Recently, the temperature reading started to show HH regardless of the temperature in the room. I tried troubleshooting but didn’t have any luck fixing it so I reached out to customer service. Despite the fact that I was 10 months past my one-year warranty they offered to send me a new camera if I sent back my existing camera. I sent my camera out on a Friday and had a new one delivered to my doorstep on Monday morning, which I was amazed to see, especially given the holiday shipping rush. As I couldn’t go without a monitor in the meantime, I ordered a VTech monitor which had great video quality & night vision, but couldn’t zoom (which I really missed) and the battery wasn’t as good as Infant Optics. I am thrilled to be back up and running with my Infant Optics & will highly recommend them to any future parents! The monitor works very well & the customer service far surpassed my expectations!

Lives up to the hype
The media could not be loaded.

I've only had this camera for about a week, but have used it a decent amount. As you can see in the video the low light performance is decent, especially if it's just for social media use.The desktop app is ok, but I prefer using the phone editor. The editing portion of the app is awesome, but the rest of the app is cumbersome. The layout is weird and finding things is not intuitive. The WiFi file transfer is slow, but SUPER useful. I haven't used the transfer cable from camera phone as I can't find one in stock. You can monitor the camera on your phone, but only if you connect before you begin recording. The battery life is good and it's as advertised. It does "overheat" and stop recording somewhere around 30 minutes. It's not a deal breaker or anything, just something to be aware of.The sound quality sucks. I haven't tried the mic adapter, but I'm sure that would make it better.Wishlist:Better audioUser friendly appConnect to phone while recordingReplaceable lensesWith all that said, it's a great device and I still give it 5 stars. I would definitely recommend it.

Good balance between screen size (adequate), pictu
***Update after 3 months***Still love the unit but have to drop 1 star... the monitor randomly loses connection to the camera and starts beeping. Very annoying at night. We can't figure out if phone, water bottle, bed, etc. is causing the issue. This happens once a week or so and we need to move monitor by a few inches.***Previous review***We previously tried another highly rated monitor but the micro / mini USB charging port broke. Thankfully Amazon allowed us to return for credit and we decided to test this monitor - it has worked wonderfully. Admittedly, not biggest or flashiest screen. However, the picture and audio quality are both great. Even night mode is excellent. Best of all, battery lasts all day. The charging cable is very long, no one can have an issue with extending monitor to where you need it. Same with the camera. We ultimately decided to mount it using the provided screws as baby was playing with the camera in his crib.Highly recommend! Seems sturdy and we hope this will last. My sister is using hers and it's been almost 2 years now. They travel with it so it has seen a lot of use and abuse!

UPDATED REVIEW- This little guy ROCKS. Just add i
Feels solid- controls are a little iffy, to be honest- some oversimplification of "hold this button" versus "press this button"- leads to some confusion. Image quality is so-so. Will work for the intended purposes- much better outdoors as opposed to inside.UPDATE 9/27/18:The manufacturer/seller saw my original ho-hum review and reached out to me, ultimately sending a new camera. The second one is LEAPS and BOUNDS ahead of what the first one in just about every way. The outside shell, the sturdiness and solid feel is still there- this camera feels like a rock- it's brilliant. Be the image quality issues I was having are gone--- nothing but smooth video- no streaky/mottled fast movements- it's true resolution throughout- and the focus is very sharp and quick. Everything you can want in an action cam. What's more- the original I had would only run for about 15 minute before petering out of battery power- I can easily get a full hour now. This camera's impressive, indeed- especially at it's pricepoint--- AND with the level of service provided (unprovoked, mind you.) Don't hesitate- just add it to your cart.

great features and price
Great budget camera with features found on high dollar cameras. The image stabilization worked well, even on a boat bouncing on wake while motoring across the lake. The difference was easily visible watching what we were shooting as we were videoing versus the actual movement of the boat on the water. We and the boat were bouncing around quite a bit; the image in the viewfinder as we videoed stayed smooth. While some reviews on YouTube said colors weren’t as rich on this model as others by same brand, we found the colors and image quality — video and photo — to be very good. Sound quality may not be as loud and crisp as a traditional video camera, but we bought the camera for action video and photos while on the water kayaking, boating and sailing, not for capturing conversations. For our purposes this works wonderfully, and at a far cheaper price than the GoPro line. The number of accessories included in the package were an added value. Water resistance/proofing seems fine, but we didn’t rate it as high in the review only because we haven’t had the opportunity to test when submerged for long periods of time. Overall we are well pleased with the purchase.

Outstanding Customer Service and Products- Never f
Amazing customer service from Jeremy and the Amcrest Team. I have had the Amcrest IP@M-841 for almost 2 years now while living in San Francisco, it and the Cloud services which saves your motion detects as well as the app. all work flawlessly. The reason I began using this was my truck was broke into my truck and I needed an extra layer of security outside my house, I mounted this camera inside my window sill, directed it outside and away I went... When I moved 3 weeks ago from S.F. to Dallas I wasn't able to get the 2 applications (cloud & PRO) to link up as needed to successfully us this camera so I wrote a quick email because I'm too busy to wait on hold and within 24 hours Jeremy called me back, walked me through reconnecting my phone, personal computer and my camera with no troubles at all, now once again I can feel safe without paying crazy security services prices and straight from the palm of my hand anytime I want. THANKS AGAIN AMCREST!

Great value and good underwater
This is the second Akaso V50 Pro I have purchased after dropping the last one in 40 feet of water during a scuba dive. I specifically bought it because it has the red filter "dive mode." With a light, this camera takes great video at depth and pretty good still photos (they're clear, just a little distant.) One battery lasts for two dives (about two hours) but you have to keep it in the protective case. Even then, under water, you still get some sound, mostly bubbles and breathing, and an occasional squeal. I haven't used it above water much, but I keep meaning to put it on my snowmobile. The pictures and video aren't as crisp as a new Go Pro, but I'm not a professional photographer and didn't want to spend that kind of money. Especially since I tend to drop them in deep water. For the price, this is an excellent camera. The worst part of this camera is the app you have to use to view the photos and videos. I can only download photos. It won't save the videos. I have to remove the micro SD card and physically move them to a computer to save them. Support for the app is non existent.

For 1080p, this is a really nice web cam
I have been using a cell phone as a web cam via ivcam and the quality from that is actually pretty good. Most 1080p web cams look like garbage compared to doing it that way, but the streamcam holds it's own. It really shines with auto white balance. It's the only webcam I have run into that does it well when using a bright LED backlit monitor. A lot of camera setups, including my ivcam setup give a purple cast to skin tones due to the bluish LED light. This one gives a much more natural look to skin tones out of the box with no tweeking. The logitech streaming software is pretty simple. If you have a decent set up it will not replace it, but if you are just getting started, it is a pretty decent product that is very simple to use. However it was on serious issue that NEEDS to be addressed by logitech and that I knocked a star off for. This camera supports both landscape and portrait mode. It detects orientation automatically, and that can be problematic, especially if using it overhead to share something you are working on or using is a copy camera for on line class. It NEEDS a way to lock orientation The auto detection is just the wrong thing to do here.
