A good quality filter is a must for any lens. This filter definitely has the high-quality I was looking for.

Fits perfect with my Nikon 70-300mm lens. This is just a clear filter used for protection of the outer element of your lens. There is no effect with this filter that I can perceive. It does not cause any unwanted effects either. Some have reported extra flares or whatever. I try every which way I think of to cause that to happen with and without this filter, and could not duplicate those results. If your camera lens does it, well, that is your camera lens. This filter is not the cause.

This is a must have for your Canon camera. This lens is a staple. I highly suggest getting it with the filter. If the filter gets scratched, it is under $20 to replace, as opposed to having to buy an entirely new lens. No zooming with this lens. Takes excellent photos. Great for portraits.

Seems to be very good quality. Also, it proved its sacrificial value when my zoom lens fell off a table. The UV filter caught the impact and shattered and the zoom lens is thankfully okay. If the filter wasn't on the lens, the lens surely would have been damaged.

I bought the filter to protect a new lens. I do this for all my lens. This one fit fine and is doing the job. So far I taken with this filter in place, have been excellent. Lens areived in great shape and on time.

I had this same UV filter on my Nikon lens, and thanks to it, the lens survived a drop onto asphalt lens side down! Both the lens cap and this same filter were on the lens when the camera hit the ground. The lens cap was damaged and the UV filter shattered and its outer rim dented but, thankfully, my excellent Nikon lens survived! I carefully removed the broken pieces, blew tiny broken fragments off the lens, then cleaned it with a microfiber cloth and all is well.But since the filter rim is damaged I can’t get it off the lens, not even with a lens wrench. However, I was able to get this new filter to screw onto the dented rim of the broken filter with a little effort. My lens is protected again and this will work until if and when I can figure out how to get the damaged rim off my lens. But the lens is protected now so that’s the main thing.My advice to everyone is NEVER be without a protective filter on all your lenses. They don’t interfere with picture quality, and if you want to invest in pricier glass filters, go for it, just protect your equipment from dirt, dust, fingerprints, smudges, and, like me, potential disaster!

The UV filter was delivered ahead of the mentioned time.Good packaging.The filter fitted perfectly in the Sigma 17 55 2.8F lens. I cleaned the filter with lens pen. No uneven edges was detected. The casing is also good .Much better than Hama.
