A good budget webcam for the average joe
I used a couple of these for streaming on Twitch purposes and while they connected pretty well and worked, they were very zoomed in and couldn't be changed accordingly to what I really needed. This is a solid camera for someone who is just using it to video call their friends or family, but for more professional needs, probably find another option.

Great Baby Monitor
This monitor has good screen clarity and great night vision quality. The instructions were well written. It's easy to get it up and running right out of the box by just plugging it in. The camera panning and zooming works very well. An added plus is the feature which extends the battery life. I recommend this monitor.

FREEDOM TO CREATE WITHOUT STOPPING TO START/STOP!
It's nice being able to free myself from the chains of activating my iPhone camera by hand! This remote worked the first time and it was a pleasure not having to stop what I was doing if I was shooting a video or have to re-set if I'm taking a photo. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Love The Whole Blink System
We live in a good area, but sadly nowhere is 100% safe these days. We had two units originally and recently decided to add the motion detector light and camera for our driveway after people began having parts disappear from their vehicles. That third layer of security is immeasurable. We can't recommend it enough.

Great customer service and solid product
Solid product and even better customer service. Initially, the night vision started going a little over 2 years from when I purchased the item, and I contact the manufacture about the issue and they were willing to provide me a replacement camera even though the warranty was over. For this reason alone they earned a 5-star rating.

Pretty good for average users
Not a bad general purpose camera definitely better than the one that came with my laptop I just wish I had spent a little bit more and got a 4K model. The frame rate is a bit slow when doing Skype or video recordings but all in all a good purchase and extremely easy to install

Excellent Picture Quality. Room For Improvement
FIRST IMPRESSION/CONTENTS:The 2K QHD Outdoor Wireless Solar/Battery Powered Security Cameras from Aosu arrived with everything necessary to install and mount the devices as well as two video surveillance warning stickers and a quick start guide. It's apparent as soon as you open this kit that you're looking at a polished, quality kit. The fit and finish of all components is excellent, even the packaging is polished.Cameras offer an excellent picture (day and night) and were a snap to install. With respect to installation, it's important to keep in mind that these cameras were primarily designed to be installed on a wall/vertical surface (as evidenced by the included mounts). While it is possible to install them on a sloped surface or eave, your viewing/targeting may be limited. Also, I'd highly recommend you charge these (with a standard phone charger) prior to mounting, that way the solar panels essentially act as a trickle charger, and if installed in a suitably bright area with average traffic, you may never have to charge them again. Also important to know: the cameras connect wirelessly to the base... they do NOT connect to your WIFI. Therefore, before you physically mount a camera consider installing/activating the base and cameras prior. Once this has been done THEN take your camera to your proposed installation site and confirm it works/you can view it through the app. It would be a shame for you climb a ladder, attach to new siding only to discover there is no signal back to the base. With respect to charging, strictly speaking, the solar panels are not required to operate the cameras. You can take the cams down to charge, then pop back up if sunlight or high traffic/motion is an issue. What will determine how often (if at all) you'll have to charge them manually is how much motion they detect and how much sunlight the solar panel is exposed to. The more motion, the more data they have to send back to the base for recording thus the more energy is consumed. If you're in a high motion area (or have these pointed towards trees and bushes that sway in the wind) and an area with poor sunlight, you're going to run through your battery quicker than if you had it installed/viewing your front step.I've had these installed inside my home for 30 days to test prior to mounting/installing outside. I popped one up in my home office and connected it to a solar panel with minimal exposure to direct sunlight (solar panel in an easterly facing window) and after 3 weeks, this was down to 52% charge remaining with all my daily comings and goings (I work from home). That said, I also discovered the solar panel it was connected to was defective/not charging the camera (support is in the process of replacing said panel). The other camera I installed inside my home at the front of the house facing the street and it has remained at 100% since day one. With respect to recording, as previously noted the quality is great, and all recordings are stored locally on the included base station (which has 32GB of unexpandable storage). Recordings continually loop/overwrite (oldest to newest) when all space is used up. Even after 3 weeks, I hadn't used up half the storage. It's worth keeping in mind that this kit allows you to peep your cameras 24/7, however, it only *records* short clips when it detects *motion*.The app is easy to use and mostly intuitive, though it is, indeed, the weakest point of this system and lacks some basic creature-comfort options E.g. a one-click option to delete all videos. Currently you have to select a day, select a cam, then select all and delete. Rinse and repeat for each additional cam, every darn day.... or you can navigate to another part of the app (Base: About Device) and format the memory (which is what I do). The app also currently lacks the ability to flip the camera image horizontally/vertically - which can limit your installation options depending on your application. The good news is that an app can be updated and features added. For the record, the app has updated at least once in the past 30 days since I acquired this kit.All that said, would I recommend this kit? Yes. Yes *if* you install it in a suitable area... and *if* all you want to do is capture motion/clips and peep on your cameras at any time. Otherwise, if you install this in a high-traffic area (especially with minimal sunlight exposure) your battery may run down quicker than the solar panel can charge it. This kit is ideal for keeping an eye on a shed door, front porch, even inside your home/garage. It is not, however, ideal for overlooking a garden with trees and such that move around in the wind lest you end up taking it down to charge more often than you care to.So while I'm a big fan of the hardware and the price (currently $239CA for 2 cameras, base station and 2 solar panels), the app does need some work. The app works "ok" as it is, but it isn't as polished as the hardware, and it could definitely use some additional spit and polish (features). Hardware I'd easily rate as 5, the app (as of this review) a 3.I hope you found this review helpful to your decision making.
