These binoculars are a great price point. Bought these for an Alaskan cruise and have been using them around the house to get the focus just right. Amazing what you can see with these binoculars. Definitely a great find!

Great for a low budget family

I spent alot of time pricing out a security system for my home. Although this is an indoor set I did what the previous raters did and stuck them in the windows. They work great. You can set human detection and it will save a 6 second clip of what it picked up without any additional fees. You can save the clip in your phone or share it in messages or emails. You can listen in and talk through them. There's a premium option which costs money. It will record 24/7 and has a help button you can hit to send police to your home and it's not badly priced. But you dont necessarily need it if your on a budget and need some basic security. the human detection picks up everything. Even a squirrel running across the fence. Start off with 2 cameras, you can buy and add on different types of cameras and window/door sensors later if you like it and slowly.build your own system. The company has great deals and amazon does too so there's a ton of flexibility.

Might have difficulty with certain networks / ISP.
(Updated Review July 7, 2021)I have still not been able to resolve this issue with the gen3 version of this camera in my particular networking situation. However, Ring customer service did reach out to me after writing my first review. They have been very helpful in offering troubleshooting suggestions, which eventually lead to the offer to return the cameras. This makes sense because 3 out of the 4 I am returning are unopened and the 4th was opened and only used to test connection to the network. I am very grateful that they understood the situation and made an exception in this case.To be clear, my network situation is unique in circumstances as most people will not be using Verizon hotspot data as their internet provider when using their Ring cameras. Though I have heard of similar situations not working for other types of connections, some of those could also be a users home network settings and can be fixed. Bottom line is that Ring will make sure you are taken care of if it truly is a non working situation. The representative was clear and did not just run off of a script. He understood when I explained what I had already tried and did not ask me to repeat any trouble shooting steps that I had already been through before.I have about 20 other ring cameras that are working rock solid, so this is all good news it is getting resolved. I still need a solution to cover these areas, so I will be trying Rings Spotlight Cam Battery's which I have had success with before. I am not sure if they have been revised from their earlier models, so I will update this review if I have better luck with those.Hopefully whatever is going on with those gen3 can be targeted and fixed by a firmware patch or something, as I think the Stick Up cams are great value for the type of application I need them for.(Original Review May 6, 2021)The gen 3 Stick Up Cam Battery seems to have gone through some changes since the gen 2 that seem to create issues. I am an experience networking tech with around a dozen of the older stick up gen 2 cameras. I have had no issues with any of these cameras, so naturally when it was time to purchase more I thought it would be fine to use their gen 3 models instead. I think I have 6 gen 3 models now, and at least 3 of the 6 exhibit this same issue. I can say the new mounting has its pros and cons, but the real problem is compatibility with networks / ISP. You may be rolling the dice on whether or not it will work at all, as there are several reports of the same issues I am having. All of my gen 2 cameras are and have been running rock solid for months if not over a year at a time. Using the same networks, even right up close to the router, these gen 3 cameras will not send video. Whether it is a live view, or trying to review past motion events the recording is always a black screen. Everything in the settings says that things are connected and working correctly and have great RSSI. Motion notifications and events seem to trigger just fine and the thumbnail is updated in the video menu, but nothing but a blank screen when it comes to any actual video footage. I have tried this on 3 different networks all with the same results. Each of which currently have active and working gen 2 stick up cams with no issues. However and strangely enough, the only way I can get the gen 3 model to show live video is by connecting it to a t-mobile hotspot of all things. Everything seems to work perfect and speedy when it is connected the t-mobile hotspot which shows that the camera itself is technically functioning. When I use a verizon hotspot to connect I get the same blank screen for video. So basically these gen 3 models are all unusable for my network because of this mystery bug.I have read dozen of reports of this same thing happening on the community forums for ring. It seems calling tech support just gives the customers the runaround because they want to blame it for networking problems. But why do the gen 2 models work just fine on the same networks? Something is wrong with these gen 3's that everyone should be aware about. I do not have the time to waste calling ring tech support just to have them guide me through their scroll down menu techniques of how to troubleshoot these things just to blame it on the network or user error when I have already done those things and 10x more.If i wasn't passed the 30 days return period having to try and figure out this issue I would gladly return them all. But I still need cameras for these areas so I would prefer that the problem was fixed, or they were replaced with something that works. If you experiencing these blank video screens as well, make sure you make it known.

Great system, super easy to install
The new outdoor cameras were super easy to install and work very well, I'm using them with the batteries, since Amazon announces they should be good for about two years, we'll see. But so far so good. The sync module 2 (which is included in the box) works great too. Very strong signal to all the cameras, even the ones on the far side, outside the house, about 50 feet away get a great signal. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the system does not have a monitor, you can only watch it on your phone. I made the mistake of purchasing an Echo Show 15 to use it as a monitor and it does a very poor job. I definitely don't recommend it. The ring bell works very well, it even connects to the old ring bell and at the same time you get a message that someone is at the door, you get the old ring sound in the house. So far, I'm happy with the system, I'll return the Echo show 15 back to Amazon and purchase an android table, able to download the blink app.

Doesn’t seal well
We had one of these cameras work well for us. However, the second one I purchased, the screen stopped working. I discovered that as long as I have the sensitivity as high as it can go, then it detects motion really well. Night vision images come out well. One other thing - we have a lot of rain in our climate, and unfortunately, the seal isn’t great and water gets inside the main inside case part and in the battery component at times.

Perfect for the price-point, and portability.
I'm a video proffessional, so it's great to have a camera that has full manual settings for me to be creative, and full auto "point and shoot" for my wife for taking photos of our son. It's a great size because we always take the path of least resistance and if it were bigger, sure It'd have a bigger sensor, and larger lenses, etc., but then we'd just take it with us less often and use our iPhone cameras for everything.

Amcrest Software is inconsistent, and worse none o
Do not waste your money or patience with these products. I've bought a total of four Amcrest cameras. The software interfaces are inconsistent at best. (The IP config tool is the most consistent). The worst thing is none of them can send email alerts. The support system stinks ! One lousy email exchange per day with useless information and suggestions ! I've tried every thing to get them to send emails, and nothing. Buy something else if you need email alerts !!!

Almost makes night videos
Almost everything is excellent about the camera and its functionality. Works almost as well as my pro cameras. There is a BIG BUT, that is when using infra red mode and in built in light, you cannot see further than 2 feet. I checked before purchase and was told that illumination in infrared was good for ten feet while my subject is 7 ft. away. I spoke to customer service several times but they have not responded. I am very disappointed that I had to buy an external if light.

Very happy with the hardware
I have been using TP Link routers for years, so I figured I would give their home automation and cameras a try. These interact with apps available from Apple Store and Google Play, but not on a PC. I had an incident where police requested video footage, but it was difficult to offload proprietary video format onto a USB drive. A recent app update makes this much easier. Video quality is very nice. Good detail within 15 feet of the camera, with lesser detail at longer distances. Night vision works well, built-in automatic spotlight for full color night vision, activity zones help prevent unnecessary notifications, audio pick up is great, but the intercom feature isn’t spectacular. A 256GB micro SD card stores over a week of constant recording. Easy to install, just mount the camera, poke a hole in the wall, run the power cord inside and to an outlet, follow the instructions on the app and you’re connected. Viewable from anywhere in the world using your phone or tablet. I have two cameras and I want more.
