The only product with USB 3.0 certification within this price tag and works upto the mark.

There are many desk lamps for you to choose from, especially on Amazon. The quality certainly goes down when you get below 30$ or so. This BenQ lamp can be described as over-engineered and 'hyper' quality. While the latter may not sound good -- it is, and it is not a bad thing. Usually with the cheaper lamps, you will get an all plastic base that is seemingly held up only by matchsticks when the lamp breaks after a short drop or 'stepping' on. The light output is usually decent, but low, and is limited in range.The BenQ, however is better in all cases than the cheaper lamps with the exception of price. Now, simply, does the high price tag warrant what you get? Yes. When compared to other lamps that around marginally above 100$, you are getting more with the BenQ. Now, the price for the lamp on the surface is not warranted. Again, the reason why the price tag is ok here is because of the competition. Meaning, the BenQ is better than all lamps I have tried -- from 20$ to 160$. There could be another lamp out there that is better at half the price --- I am almost sure something like that exists -- however, I have not found it.Here are the main points with the BenQ:1. Heavy. Very Heavy. Made of all metal throughout and will absolutely hold up from bumping or dropping. Longevity is not in question here.2. Light output. Fantastic --- without the heat. Best output I have seen on a lamp. It covers a very wide range (and the convex beam does indeed spread the light out further than typical down facing bulbs).3. Height. Again, extremely versatile. You can adjust the base so the lamp touches the desk or rises as high as 3' or so.4. Adjustment. You can adjust color temperature from warm to cool and vice versa. This is especially good when reading, looking at a computer screen because of the contrast difference and strain on your eyes. It helps with reading. I would suggest to keep it marginally cool for least strain on your eyes.5. Tri-layer brightness. When you tap the knob on the back, it auto adjusts to brightness levels around the environment. This is a very interesting feature and dims parts of the bulb where there is a more concentrated light, and keeps the other sides lit if they are dark. Tested this with a computer --- which is at my desk the majority of the time, and it does lessen screen glare and screen contrast -- though not completely. Nevertheless it is something, at least, and more than what other lamps offer.---------------------------------------For those that want a thoroughly engineered lamp that did not cut corners and offers many luxuries that you never expected with a regular desk lamp, this is where you begin...and end, currently. Excellent quality throughout, and fantastic light output. If it is in your budget, you likely won't find better.

Super easy to install, and nice adhesion. Light is a little in the cool side, but great for the price tag!
