This camera is amazing
Despite this camera description stating otherwise, water leaked into it once it was mounted in the woods, which my husband discovered when he went to take the card out. It was ruined. I'm past all the dates to return it and/or have it serviced, which is disappointing, this is the first time he went back to the property to retrieve the card and view the photos.

Nice monitor with good extra features
This is a very good first baby monitor for us. We wanted one that would always be on and working regardless of our Wifi connection, and this fit the bill. It's pretty much plug and play, just be warned the camera and display have their own power supplies that are different but look almost the same, so make sure you're using the right one! Once plugged in the system connected automatically and we were up and running in a few minutes, no internet required. The camera has a built in speaker and nightlight, and rotates quite a bit as well as tilts up and down to a lesser extent. So it still generally needs to be oriented towards baby and you can adjust it from there. The video monitor has a nice, clear, easy to read and see display. It's not Ultra HD quality or anything but more than enough to clearly see baby night or day. You can also remotely activate the night light, music, or white noise. The monitor and camera stayed connected all throughout our house so there are no concerns on range from me. As an added bonus it tells you the temperature and humidity in baby's room. The only thing that takes some getting used to is navigating the monitor. There are a lot of features and settings you can use and everything is controlled by the buttons. It looks like a touch screen but it is not! I can almost guarantee you'll have fingerprints on this when you lend it to a babysitter or something because it looks like that would work. But for the price point that's not a feature this really needs anyways, just something to be aware of.So all in all we're happy with this monitor for its features, easy to see display, and not needing Wifi. Plug it all in and you're pretty much good to go.

Good for what it is.
Bought this to replace my other one which I thought one of the cats had knocked into the trash. Actually found the other last night so now have two which is better for my uses.Honestly the Vid quality is usable for 90% of consumers. It's not Pro quality but not bad. I dhoot some Ptro work even using this but have been doing this for 30 years so know it's abilities. It is exactly the same Palm-Sized camera you see all over Azon. Same Batteries, same extras and same quality even if it has another name so just shop for best price-likely stamped out of the same factory in China and labelled under 50 different names.Remember-it is a small camera. You can lose it easilly just by setting it down and misremembering where you set it or, in my case, a critter knocks it off a desk and it ends up under a shelf.Little Waterproof case wirks fibe, comes with a bunch of GoPro-style attachements but you need a Mini SD card so order one or get one from someplace local.

A great investment when you're sick of lugging aro
I was a bit hesitant about picking up a go pro, as I'm not much of an "action" person. However, I am a photographer and have grown to hate taking my expensive and heavy digital camera with me for short day trips to places I've been a million times. I decided to invest in a GoPro for my trips to Disneyland, running around with the dog, and to have the ability to go into the water with a camera and not cry because it's broken.Quality is pretty good for what it is. I wish there was a bit more stabilization by default - but I can live with it. Going from 21 megapixels on my DSLR to 12 on this is VERY noticeable, but looks fine for most social media usage. My only complaint is a bit beyond the realm of GoPro. When you save a video to your phone and upload to Instagram, IG compresses the video horribly. It would be great to have more control over the export options from the GoPro App -- but that's really all I have.I can't wait to add more GoPro gear to my arsenal. My next purchase is definitely the Karma Grip!

Large variation, depending on location
I purchased this strictly for use as a wi-fi extender for use with my new Ring Stick Up Camera. I do not use it for a chime, or for the built-in night light. It's easy and convenient to use. You simply plug it into a wall socket. Once it has been setup, there's no more to it. It seems to work well; however, be aware that performance is very dependent on where it is located. The Ring Stick Up Camera signal strength without using the Chime Pro was running about -72 (very weak). Using the Chime Pro as a wi-fi booster for the camera, signal strength improved to -46 (much stronger signal -signal strength is expressed in negative numbers, so closer to zero is better). So it did what I wanted it to do there. However, I had to try 3 different locations in the house to get that signal level improvement. Since I'm using it only as a wi-fi extender and not using the chime or the night light, I had hoped to be able to place it in an out of the way, out of sight location. Didn't work out that way. But that's not a huge deal overall. The only other issues was that, for whatever reason, I could not get it to setup initially. I ended up having to call the help desk, and was on the phone with them for almost an hour as we tried to work through different solutions to get it to setup. We finally got it going, and it has been working with no issues ever since (about 1 week now).Controls for it are all in the app. The only button on the device is a reset button. I have mine setup through the app to not chime and not turn on the night light. Note that the wi-fi extension function is only for Ring devices; it will not work as a wi-fi extender for other devices.

I Love My New GoPro Hero5 Black!!
This is my first GoPro, and I absolutely love it! The GoPro Hero5 Black is an amazing tool. But be warned that it can become very addictive. I find myself wanting to videotape everything now.I use mine primarily for making fishing videos, and it's just perfect. I've shot video in the rain. I've put the camera underwater to film fish in their natural habitat. And each time the video and sound came out great. The only thing that I would warn potential buyers about is that this is a pretty advanced camera. It can keep up with the needs of pro videographers. So if you're like me and just want to shoot YouTube videos, it's probably overkill. The basic GoPro Hero would have likely worked fine. The Hero5 Black has features and benefits that I'll probably never use. So if you just want high quality video and sound, but aren't going to be doing lots of fancy editing, then this might be more than you need to spend. Save yourself some money and go ahead and downgrade to the Hero.

A lot of stuff for a very reasonable price
Wow! You really get a lot of stuff in this package! Honestly, for the price I was expecting the quality to be a bit off, but not so. It appears to be well made. I will be using it for SCUBA in Hawaii in August ('21). Bonnie may be using it for some bicycle stuff. All in all, IMHO, great value for the money. I didn't rate "Water resistance", below, because that is still TBD. I did try on the "chest harness", the "head harness" and the "wrist harness" and they seemed robust and unlikely to cause the loss of a camera. The "wrist harness" was particularly good; easy to use, comfortable and very secure. At the other end of the spectrum was the "chest harness": very secure but a bit difficult to get fitted. However, once on it felt comfortable. For SCUBA I will probably use some combination of the handheld yellow "float", the "headband harness" and the "wrist harness". The "chest harness" is out because it would be in the way of the BC (buoyancy compensator). The "headband harness" is the one most likely to lose the camera and yet is the one that will probably produce the best video. So I'm going to have to figure out some kind of tether.

Gorgeous and high quality baby monitor!
I recently picked up this monitor to replace my old Motorola one which constantly had problems (went through several cameras on warranty and they all broke within a few months)!I have been very impressed with this camera so far. The packaging was so beautiful and the camera itself is just gorgeous and blends in really nicely with my nursery decor (I got the pink)!I love how it can be easily positioned to attach to the side of the crib and it comes with little cable rails that you can use to cover the cord along the back side of the crib so there are no strangulation hazards. It can also be wall mounted on a cute “twig” and I was even able to just curl the bottom of the tail to create a little stand and just had it sitting on a dresser. Overall, this product is very versatile with respect to installation methods. The picture quality is amazing (including the night vision). I can easily tell if my baby is moving or standing up.I also love that my phone doubles as the parent unit because the recurring issue with my previous monitor was that the charging cord kept breaking/not holding a charge rendering it useless! I won’t have this issue with the Lollipop camera. You can also turn off the video and just use it as a sound monitor which really helps with battery life!We already had a wifi extender set up in my home to improve our signal in our 3 story house and I have no problem getting a signal when I’m in the basement.Other features I like are the ability to speak to the baby through the app and trigger music to be played in the nursery.Overall I would recommend this monitor to any new mom in search of a high quality baby monitor!

Great Product and Equally Great Customer Support!
We purchased our first Infant Optics DXR-8 monitor several years ago when our daughter was born. Then we purchased a second camera when our son was born. Both camera units have worked flawlessly, but the monitor unit, with its charging port had unfortunately started to fail because the charger connection was too lose to maintain a proper charge. After struggling with the situation for several months, and not wanting to purchase a new unit, I decided to contact Infant Optics about my options. This was a great decision on my part and confirmed the various reviews I’d read about the top-notch customer support from the Infant Optics team. The representative I worked with, Vanessa P, was very quick to respond to my inquiry and follow up questions. Since this charging port failure is a known issue in older models, the new models (since 2018) have a pin design which prevents this failure. Since our camera was well out of the warranty period, Vanessa said that we could send in our old monitor to be fixed, or she could supply a discount code to purchase a new monitor. Since we figured the issue might reoccur with the old style charger connection, we opted to purchase the new monitor unit with the supplied discount code. It arrived quickly had worked perfectly. Now we don’t have to worry about the charger port losing its connection and the batter draining during the night. We continue to be extremely happy with the Infant Optics DXR-8 monitor and will continue supporting Infant Optics as they have show to truly care about their customers and respond quickly to their needs. Thanks again for a great product and great customer support!
