check the sd card heat
I bought four and have partially tested two of them. One the SD card got extremely hot. After switching it with another one from the second unit I found the problem is with the SD card. I only stumbled on the problem after it accidently burned my finger. Anyway the camera has a lot of features for the price. Just be careful and check the SD card for heat.

Peace of Mind, Check
I bought the Nest Cam for my new born baby several months ago thinking that I only need to go to my phone to see the images, and it can play in the background, so it does all the things I want a baby monitor does. But NOO. Not to say that Nest Cam is not working fine, but if you are using an phone app, it is dependent on the phone. If it crashes, loses connection to wi-fi, or is an older version, you are in the constant mindset of: I didn't hear anything, is the baby ok or is the app disconnected or crash?This new cam saved my sanity! it has really clear vision, tells me the temperature, never crashes, and you can even turn the camera to see other places. It provides great night vision as well and I love that I can count on it not "crashing" when I go to sleep so I know if I don't hear anything, it means the baby is safe.New Parents, don't rely too heavily on your phone. For baby monitor, old fashion standalone monitor still exists today for very good reason!

Check the arrows on the plugs!
I really like these lights. They are super easy to put up, and they look awesome!! I was super bummed when I tested them out and thought one of the strings was out, but turns out I didn't check the arrows like they tell you to do multiple times. I flipped the end of the plug around, and it worked! I ended up plugging each light strip into each other, creating one long 60ish foot strip. The lights got a bit less bright and vibrant at the end, but Im ok with that.
