I am the type of person to do heavy research before buying anything electronic within a specific budget. After several hours of browsing through speakers on amazon, I settled on these. If you keep your expectations realistic, then you won't be disappointed. The depth if the audio seems good. Treble is good. But, a little...muddy. the bass....well....its not the best, but, there is some. These aren't top tier studio monitors or anything BUT they sound good for the PRICE. I'm fully satisfied with these (also, they look good)

From a casual audio enthusiast's perspective, these speakers perform superbly for being under $100. The bass delivers to my expectations, and the sound is well balanced. Volume is perhaps a tad on the weaker side, but I've found it enough to deliver good sound for small home gatherings and get-togethers. The relatively small form factor works great for desks where space is limited. The L to R cable length is maybe 3-4 feet.

I've been through two other sets of inexpensive speakers before finding these, and I have to say the sound on these is really terrific given the size and that there is no subwoofer involved. At any reasonable volume level they're excellent and I feel they represent an excellent value for the money.

For the price, these speakers are absolutely fantastic!My only issue is the pairing of speakers when you have two of them. They are a bit finicky, and don't pair up as easy as others I have had.Aside from that, I recommend them.

OK, I'm a geek for recording studios, but I found this quite interesting. The video is roughly 2/3 about Sound City and the last 1/3 is the use that Dave Grohl put the Neve console to in his own studio. I'm not a Nirvana or Foo Fighters fan (before I saw this I could not tell you who Grohl was) but it was clear that Grohl takes great joy in the collaborative process of creating music. Watching him get in the studio with other musicians and take an idea, work with it, listen to the results and revise, revise, revise until they were happy with it was great. And, by the way, is there anything Grohl can't do? It appears he can work both sides of the recording booth glass with great facility.

These are great. They do exactly what they're supposed to. You really are getting the most bang for your buck! Looking for an economical option? Give these a try. You won't be disappointed!

I have many rescue dogs that sleep in my room and snore and lick throughout the night. These sounds were a complete disaster for a light sleeper like myself. I read recently about a professor at Emory who studies the sleep patterns of our ancestors and she wrote about how depending on your age you sleep more soundly at different times (think teenagers and the eldery for example) and how this was important for survival of the night, ensuring someone was always on watch for predators. She wrote about how your body assesses sounds before going into REM and that is why soft conversation, rain, crickets, or a the crackle of a fire are all sounds that lull you to sleep as they are sounds that indicate it is safe to go into a deep sleep, virtually making yourself "vulnerable to predators". Many things have changed over the years but our bodies evolved to what they are today thousands of years ago and the bodies keys to survival remain intact. It all made sense so I looked for a sound machine with a fire sound and this is the one I found. I LOVE IT! There is no repetitive nature to this and it really works fast on me. I can hear my dogs over it if they are snoring loudly, but it does not bother me. I am sleeping peacefully now and my children and husband enjoy it as well. There are many sounds here but the fireplace sound was the one I was after and it works like a charm! I have taken two Benadryl for years nightly to help me fall asleep along with my Magnesium Citrate. Now I only take the Magnesium as I no longer need the Benadryl to help me tune out.

They sound great and at the price you can't beat them.
