Great entry level action cam
I bought this for the family to fool around with on a recent beach trip (which is why I wanted a waterproof model). I didn't want to go all-in on a gopro because I wasn't sure how much we would use it and didn't really need the level of durability and image stabilization that a $500 Hero 10 offers. I wanted something pretty basic that my kids could use intuitively and without any setup. And this delivers! The waterproof case offers a good seal and still allows you to navigate the menus. The still shots are fine and honestly really good for the size of the camera. But the underwater video has been really fun and the kids love using it in the pool. Glad I bought it and would do so again.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was looking at go pros and reading reviews and someone mentioned AKASO as a great camera at a fraction of the price, so i started looking at the AKASO line and decided give the EK7000PRO a try. It is well built with an intuitive user interface, additionally it has a remote control (Haven't tested that yet). The kit included more mounts than I will ever use. The handlebar mount is cool. The construction is good and I think it will stand the test of time. I just shot some video in the pool to check out the video quality which is great. I plan on using this on an upcoming cruise to capture the sea life as I dive and snorkel. Even is you a diehard go pro fan, this make a great backup or spare. Great Value for money.

GoPro Quik PC program not currently compatible wit
The image stabilization on this camera is incredible! You will get between 45min to 1hr of run time on a single battery charge depending on your settings.NOTE: When using your GoPro and you want to download and edit your videos to share, the PC version of their GoPro Quik program is not up to date as their cell phone app. GPS functions like speed, elevation changes, etc are not imported into the PC version of GoPro Quik. Feel free to google this and you will find people complaining about this issue that they have failed to put the effort into fixing this. It does however work fine on the cell phone app. Being able to use it on PC where you have ample storage and easier editing with mouse and keyboard is a must. Otherwise you will have to find a 3rd party PC program to use.

Great starter POV for your bike/helmet
Good:* Lots of mounting accessories and options* Two batteries* Very clear image* Image stabilization is decent.* Nice wide shot.* Reasonable price.Not so good:* Gets warm during continuous usage.* The Android (wifi) app interface and functions are impractical. The app keeps disconnecting from the camera and I have to manually connect. Perhaps if the app kept the phone awake (like YouTube) that could be avoided. (Note 8 phone). It's faster if I remove the chip and extract the images using a microSD adapter.* I really would like lower resolutions as options. Sometimes 360p or 480p is good enough (and required less space on the PC). For reference - 5 minutes @ 720 P, 30 fps is ~640 MB.In conclusion: my new option for holiday and birthday gifts.

You...light up my life
The darkness is vanquished. This little flash makes a lot of light when I point it at things at set it off. People's faces just...light up. It's a great fill-in flash for bright days. It's handy, bright, not too big, and works with the local feature setting on the T1i. Yes, you can get a bigger one. Yes, the bigger one will make more light. It also weighs more on top of your camera.This is a huge step up from the built in flash unit, and a small step down from the larger flash units. Unless you're shooting people 40' away in a dark room or need multiple units with remote trigger, this is more than enough flash for you. The head moves and with a diffuser gives great results for multiple scenarios.

almost hands free video for a mom with nervous kid
I have just used this once so far, but really enjoyed that i could video and use the remote on my wrist as I was riding my bike. My kids don't like me using my phone for pics when I bike. The many little mounts that were included with my camera seemed a little overwhelming at first, but after looking at the online manual and with some help from my son- in- law it was pretty easy to mount to my bike and the video quality was clear and very stable. I am looking forward to trying the helmet mount. It was easy to download the videos and pictures onto my computer. It is difficult to use the touch screen with the water resistant case, but i think that there is a way to do this.

Action cam fantastica .....qualità immagine ottima ....lo schermo touch funziona bene ,anche se è troppo piccolo ......c'è scritto che è subacquea fino a 5 mt ma per non sapere ne leggere e ne scrivere ho comprato anche la custodia subaquea.....la quale però se viene usata con la camera fuori dall'acqua non fa sentire la voce / suono che si registra.....(ho comprato l'originale di custodia subaquea ).....per il resto ,viene venduta con la cella protettiva la quale si può usare con vari agganci della gopro (io avevo la hero 3+)

This is a great gadget!
Very impressed with build of the unit and quality of video even on my vibrating bike handlebars. The Gadget Show did say the menu's were fiddly and they are but you get used to them. There are only 3 buttons which I imagine is done to protect the waterproof integrity of the case. Not a major problem! Loads of mounting options so my daughter (who it is really for honest) should be able to put it on the front of her surf board!Only problem I did find was with the 'universal' plastic mount that screws into the bottom of the camera body. This in turn slides/clips into the various mounts supplied. I found it a very tight 'slide' into two of the mounts so had to take a small file to the plastic edges so it slid in easily.Otherwise - excellent.Chris
