Perfect Gift for the Phone Videographer
I bought this as a gift for a teacher who does a lot of visual arts for the high school he works in. Shaky cam is out...stabilization is in. This is the perfect tool to turn those shaky videos into smooth movements. I'd highly recommend it as a gift or for yourself if you enjoy photography/shooting videos with your phone.

Kaylee Greer is a Rock Star!
My favorite gift this Christmas, without a doubt, has been Kaylee Greer's DOGTOGRAPHY. I have been a fan of Kaylee's for years, and have taken multiple online dog photography classes she's taught at KelbyOne. So I was super excited when I learned she had finally come out with a book about dog photography. What I love about Kaylee's work and her book is that you get to see first hand an author who truly loves dogs and understands how to get the best from these wonderful animals. She gives you tons of tips about photographing dogs, but she also delves into understanding dogs from their point of view: understanding dog body language, understanding location challenges, and how best to give positive reinforcement to your four-legged subjects in a way that suits THEM best. She talks about cameras, camera gear, and camera settings (and does so in a very approachable way), gives behind the scene tips and tricks on how to best work with a variety of dogs, discusses how to best choose a location, shooting action shots, demystifies taking group photos of dogs, talks post-processing, and ends with a terrific chapter on giving back, or as Kaylee describes it, "Being a voice for the voiceless." I would recommend this book to anyone--from novice photographers to pros, from people who have never worked to with dogs to people who have a furry tail-wagging family in their bed every night. DOGTOGRAPHY, like its author, is bright spot in this very long and often dark year of COVID-19 and life in general. Way to go, Kaylee! You really are a rock star.

At first it may seem a little complicated with the
I'm still new to this camera. So far I am most impressed with the interface. At first it may seem a little complicated with the different color LEDs but I got the hang of it really quick and it's fun to use really.Pros-Rapid Exposure Detection and Balance-User Interface-Computer interface very easy to navigate after following online information, though it's a little quirky. Note that videos will appear with frozen frames when watching in IPhoto for you Mac users. In Quicktime video it appears fine and fluid. Other reviews mention the versatility you can get with the formatting color options.-SUPER Lightweight... I don't have a scale on me but it feels like the same weight as two AA batteries.-Great colors and quite sharp-Prime ShippingCons-Audio could be better/improved. I don't know how to improve audio when utilizing pinholes with speakers but I have found better audio on other action cams.-Charge time is a little lengthy... around 2.5 hours for ~80 minutes of video, but still comparable to other products.-Already aging (Summer 2013 Release?) compared to other products. That's a given since GoPro(for ex.) has a new one every year.Based off the research I have done I believe this is the best camera for your money out there. I believe there could be or will be better video quality for closer to $50 soon but this is my pick for now.*I have yet to test this product in Aerial videos though it looks great indoors and in the car day or night.*I also need to explore the mounting options more though the screw mount gives you access to a plethora of usable mounts. There are some great reviews by "Techmoan" on youtube if you want more orientation on the specifics.

Solid baby monitor with good range
We've been using this for several years now, and it is a good choice for baby monitor. I would purchase it again. The picture quality is decent (though not by any means HD). The controls are intuitive and straightforward. The control/viewing unit does beep quite loudly when turned on or off (which is annoying if I'm trying to take a peak at the baby without disturbing my spouse). The sound quality is OK. The visual sound indicator is useful. We've never used the "talk to baby" function. In our house, the range is excellent. I can go down the basement, two floors below the baby's room, and still get decent reception.I really like that it's not smartphone based. I really don't like the idea of my child's bedroom camera feed being sent off to a server farm in a 3rd party country with who-knows-what privacy protections. And we never have needed access to the feed from outside the house. The only marks against it are the beeping and slightly clunky on/off button on the viewing unit, and the fact that lately it has started to randomly give a "no signal" error in the middle of the night, accompanied by loud, incessant beeping. The solution is we just leave the unit off when we're not actively viewing/checking on the child, and it's a useable workaround for our situation (if a bit annoying). If we were more actively monitoring our child, this solution would not work, and I would be trying to reach customer service.Note: there is a green LED on the camera unit, which we worried would disturb the baby, so we painted it over with black nail polish. Problem solved.

COMPARING POLAROID 600 TO FUJIFILM Instax Mini 11
The media could not be loaded.

I can't remember if I knew this film was so expensive and also comes in smaller quantities, when compared to my other instant Camera, FujiFilm Instax Mini 9 which I recently upgraded to the Instax Mini 11 (which is a THOUSAND times better than my shitty 9 that eventually stopped wor×king). Instax film has 10 photos per roll when Polaroid 600 only has 8. Considering this film is very expensive, again, compared to the FujiFilm Instax Mini film. Which you can get on Aliexpress for roughly $10-$20, and unlike Polaroid, which cannot be found on any discount sites or apps. Instax also has licencesd character films (such as Disney, Sanrio and characters Pokemon, Hello Kitty, Disney Princess', Mickey Mouse, ect.) which Polaroid does not. Instax also has many different designs and colors of film which Polaroid DOES do, (just not the licensed ones like Disney) such as classic Black and White, Different colors and designs like stripes, polka dots, Etc.. However the special themed 600 films are pretty hard to find and when you do they are so expensive considering you're only paying for EIGHT photos. HOWEVER this double pack was a pretty good deal considering the single 8 packs are usually around $20ish. I did apprecia×te the $5ish in savings since like I keep saying, this film is pretty expensive. But I do take in m×ind the whole point of the 600 is that it's a refurbished vintage camera so in that sense, it's a lot more special than the Instax. Anywho I took a star off for how expensive this film is and how it doesn't come in cool designs like the instax mini

Fits Canon Elph 310 hs, charger, battery, and SD c
I got this as a roomier alternative to the Case Logic TBC-302, which is just big enough for my Canon Elph 310 HS, a spare battery, and an SD card case. The DCB-302 is slightly bulkier, but its secondary storage pocket is much easier to access because it's bigger and the zipper is higher up, longer, and opens wider, making it easier to get things in or out.And what's really cool is the pocket is just the right size for the Canon battery charger. With a little bit of a squeeze, you can also work in an SD card case and a spare battery. That means all your accessories for camera use on a trip can be put in one place--no more hunting for the charger in your luggage. All in all, I like both cases. This one is good for travel. The TBC-302 is good for everyday use when you just want the smallest thing possible. Both have good quality belt loops, unlike the TBC-402, which is slightly better padded than the 302, but has the flimsiest belt loop I've seen on a camera case and I am certain will not hold up to sharp tugs over time. Strangley the TCB-402 is available for about $7 at wal-mart, while neither of the 302 cases is, yet they were both under $6 here at Amazon. And another nice thing: Both cases are so small and light that you can easily take them both on a trip if you want, having both options to use as you desire while on vacation. They're so cheap it's like buying one LowePro case, yet both are superior to the LowePro models I've seen in this size class--storage compartment is roomier, case is lighter and more compact, inner compartment does not have sketchy looking stitching that is likely to come undone.

Great Baby/Kiddo Cam
Love the camera, generally fantastic. The pros to this far outweigh the one con I've discovered so far, but the con requires far more clarification to express how it affects performance.Pros: excellent video quality, crystal clear night vision, easy to set up/reposition, remote movement and audioCon: the device I view on must be left in low resolution overnight because it EATS battery hard-core in high resolution. I use it for a baby monitor so it has to run all night long, the phone used with max charge at low light lasts about 12 hours of constant use when not running the viewing app. High resolution it dies in about an hour, low resolution it lasts about 2 so it MUST remain plugged in. At high resolution, even keeping it plugged in the phone dies in about 6 hours.

Super Easy Setup / great video
These are super easy to setup - it literally took 3 minutes for each cam. Just turn it on, bring up the app on your phone, then point the bar code at the camera. The camera then configures it self to your wifi, enables ports to access the web and you can instantly view an image on the phone app. I did have to do a firmware update on each cam, but that only took a minute or two and was hand off.Setting motion detection is easy and it works very well - I have set regions so only walkways are covered and put the sensitivity to low = so only major movement is detected. That said, it does ping me when a cat walks by or during occasional windy days when branches are moving. So far the motion detection has been very accurate and usefuli set these up for motion detection on my driveway and front door. The cams sense motion and send me a seven second clip every time. So i can see when packages are delivered, when people get home and even when the gardner comes by. Super simple. In order to view longer clips you either need to install a memory card or subscribe to their service but i've seen no reason to do that so far. Just having visible cams up is a big deterrent for most - even those these are white and under the white eaves of my house, people still notice them..ConsThese are so cheap compared to the $199 NEST cam i figure i am paying for them with my privacy. probably somewhere in china someone is watching my house. haha, But I only put these outside so i am less worried.i do worry about the privacy policy and will check that out - as another review comments.

I was concerned with going with off brand instead
I was initially concerned & conflicted about going with an off brand instead the tried and true GoPro brand, but they charge so much for 'branding' and I didn't see any feature value over that offered by Akaso. I used it first for video of some work I was doing with wildlife and it did a good job for what I was using it for and the videos had good quality. The remote feels a little flimsy with the buttons having the feel of breaking them when you press them.Today however I used it for the first time underwater on our trip to Hawaii for a snorkel with spinner dolphins tour, I sealed the camera before leaving the condo to get to the boat. While snorkeling I never went 3' below the surface at best (my snorkel had to remain out of the water so I could breath). After getting out of the water after ~10min I noticed water inside the case and was extremely disappointed. Fortunately the videos I had on the card were ok, but I guess you get what you pay for. The camera seemed pretty good with features and quality of pictures and video, but I guess the 'water proof' case leave a LOT to be desired. Perhaps if you can get a better more reliable water proof case for it, otherwise I wouldn't trust it, even in less than 3' of water.***Update: Wow, A+++ for service. The Akaso representative reached out to me regarding the issue I had and with a desire to 'make it right'. The sent a NEW unit to me and it has been working with no issues. Very much appreciate the post sale service and the desire for customer satisfaction. I can say definitely say that I am now satisfied with my purchase and would recommend or the value of the product, backed by solid customer service.
