Crashes after 30 seconds
The gimbal turns on and works for 30-60 seconds then it crashes. This has had a full charge. It worked fine the first day we used it but it is worthless on the 2nd day. Unfortunately, I didn't start using it until after the return window ended.

SO happy with this! Wish we bought it sooner! Don’
Oh my, we are so happy with this! We’ve put off buying a monitor for our son because we lived in a condo when he was first born (so we really didn’t need one) and due to how costly many of the monitors are. Now that we’re in a house, we needed a monitor to see and hear our 9 month old who is constantly waking during naps to sit, try to stand, chew on the crib, etc. From reading other reviews, this seemed perfect for our needs and budget. Let me tell you, it does exactly that! The picture/screen is clear (even from a far distance - we had to mount it pretty far from his crib due to how the walls are setup in his room but the zoom feature gives us the perfect picture), the features it comes with are great I.e. the two way talk mode, alert mode if Baby is crying/making noise louder than a stir, playing lullaby’s, etc. (this is more than we even need/wanted (we literally just wanted/needed to see and hear him when in the other room/watching a movie etc.) but I’m so happy it has the capabilities in case we end up needing them down the road), the screen part of the monitor works pretty far from the camera/wherever it’s placed (we tested it and it made it all the way into our garage and outside in our yard), and it’s super simple to use and install. I’ve read that people aren’t happy that it isn’t on wifi and that it’s not cordless, we personally didn’t want something on wifi because friends said that theirs often cut out and then you have to reprogram the camera etc. so for us, its great that it plugs into the wall (we tacked the cord to the wall so it disappears into the wall/room).We were constantly running into the room to check on him at night and during naps because we couldn’t see or hear him/we would hear him and not know what he was doing lol and this is just perfect and gives us such peace of mind! If you’re looking for a super high tech, super clear, multi-function, super costly camera, than this isn’t for you lol. But if you’re looking for a budget friendly, easy to use, just need to see and hear your little one with only a few clicks, than this is for you! So if you’re on the fence about it, don’t be, it’s awesome and we’ll be getting additional cameras to connect to it for his playroom and the basement when needed.Wish we bought it much, much sooner! Thank you HelloBaby for easing our anxiety! :)

Update: Changed rating from 1 star to 5 star!
Update: I did return one that I opened and which was non-operational, I returned the second unopened because I was concerned about it also not working. I was contacted by Eufy Customer Service and was asked to try again that they would be happy to talk me through the process if I had any problem connecting the replacement unit. There was absolutely NO issue with the replacement and it was up and running in 5 minutes like my indoor Eufy's. I mounted it on a tree about 30 feet from the house and it works perfectly, even after a rainstorm. The picture is beautiful, perfectly clear, no stuttering . I have a Ring spotlight and I have to say the Eufy video, sound, playback, response time, etc are all clearer and faster than my Ring (even with the upgrade for the Chime Pro), and NO monthly fees! I am so impressed with Eufy that the rest of my cameras are going to only be Eufy. All I can say is if you do end up with a dud that got shipped to you without padding and dropped on your doorstep, call or email Eufy and they will take care of it. Both the camera and the customer service are of exceptional quality. Highly, highly recommend.Previous review: I bought 2 of these. The first one didn't work, tried everything for about 3 hours (help recommendations about splitting wifi 2.4 from 5 G etc). Nothing worked. I have indoor eufy and rings that I set up without a problem. Got burned on amazon returns before (oops you're one day too late!) so I immediately initated a defective return at UPS 5 minutes from my house which was free. Then I initiated a return on the second unopened camera, and they wanted to charge me $8 shipping to return to UPS, only option for a free return was to drive 40 minutes to a Kohls. Next time I will drive to a store or one with an easier return if there is a problem to buy something like this.

Almost great

This is an updated review, made after getting the newer V50 Elite touchscreen.I finally got the time to shoot outside in good light. I took a sample footage at 4K@60FPS and @30FPS and 2.7K@30FPS resolutions with the EIS (image stabilization) turned on and off, using a Gimball and without using a Gimball (in the first part you can see some shaking – that’s the Gimball fault - it started to shake and the camera had its EIS off). I guess the touchscreen version has a newer firmware because the quality of the videos and of the photos is better than of the non-touchscreen version. I can say I am quite happy with the image quality in day light.Indoors and in less light, instead, the quality is still mediocre with lots of image noise/grain.Can’t say much about the sound quality – in my footage I have a sound resembling Tomb Raider 2013 – wind and crows and steps JUnfortunately the remote has a will of its own and works only from time to time.Regarding the battery life, I got only 20 minutes of 4k footage and approximately an hour of 2.7K. Haven’t tested it at a Full HD of 1080p but I am guessing 80-90 minutes.Overall, I would rate the camera 3 stars, but the AKASO support team deserves 5 stars – they are working hard to improve the product and to make the clients happy so my final review rate is 4 stars. This was my initial 2 stars review:"To be honest, I expected a little better for this price.Pros:build qualityAccesories4k@60PDecent quality in good lightAnd now, unfortunately, a longer list of CONS:Battery life is terrible, after shooting a test video of 40 seconds, a few pics and other 10-20 second videos the battery (fully charged before, of course) was "on red"The remote control/BT connection works only when it wants, it randomly stops responding. Bonus: the voice recognition/voice commands doesn't work at allPoor image quality in a decent lit rooms. The image is great only outside in good light. At night is terrible, lots of noise. The image stabilization option is disabled and i can't activate it. I must say that i am not shooting in 4k@60FPS or 1080p@120FPS (i know it is not possible to have EIS while shooting in these resolutions). I tried with 4k@30, 1080p@60 or 1080p@30 without any result. The fisheye/wide effect is huge regardless you set the image on wide/normal/narrowRegarding the photo quality, that one is a joke, you can't choose where to focus, the camera chooses for you - you don't have the option to press the shutter half the way to focus.Later edit: the date/time setting keeps randomly reseting.Would have been great to have a touchscreen, but i knew it doesn't have one so i won't count it as a con."

GREAT baby product
We started sleep training my baby at about 4 months old and using this sock/camera at the same time. I’ve used it now for several months consistently and honestly don’t know how I managed without it! First of, the camera is an AMAZING quality product. The picture is very clear daytime or night; I love that it notifies me when baby is awake, and since my phone is linked to my watch it dings on my watch that my baby is “noisy”. It’s so convenient to pull her up from anywhere on my phone, I mean I can watch her crib from my work miles away! Now the sock. I didn’t think my baby would like to wear it at night but she don’t mind at all! The sock is good quality, it’s greatly designed, the material is very soft, and the sensor picks up heart rate and tracks sleep very accurately. I mean it does all the work for you, on the app it shows you when baby fell asleep, how long they slept, any wake ups over night/naps I mean just an amazing tool to have when sleep training, and overall managing the very sensitive first years of your baby’s life. The baby keeps the sock on all night even when kicking or moving around. I have such piece of mind knowing that it will notify me if anything goes wrong with the baby. In the matter of months I only had one false alarm on baby’s heart rate, so I can confidently say you won’t be receiving a bunch of random frightening bad alarms all night long. The app is very easy to use, the whole set up process was a breeze with a step by step directions provided, I mean just can’t recommend enough!

Perfect for Linux Mint
Anyone who's read other reviews I've written likely knows I run Linux exclusively on whatever computer/laptop I'm using. Since this is the case, I try to seek out supporting devices that play nice with that OS. Many peripherals do out of the box, but a few--especially cameras--do not. The C270 most certainly does play nice, with perfect video and audio without any driver hassles, etc. I use it mainly with Skype, and it is flawless. Color, resolution, auto-exposure and focus, all worked fine. Since this laptop has built-in mics, I do not necessarily need the camera's, but when I switched that in audio settings just to try it it does work well. So, happy camper once again.Just FYI for those who go the Linux route--here are a few items that work perfectly with Linux and which I acquired through Amazon. In my case I use Linux Mint Xfce 17.2. Mint is the most popular 'flavor' of Linux last I checked, but it's based on Ubuntu.Lenovo Thinkpad T410 laptop (Intel i5 540M, 1440x900, 4 gig RAM, 500 gig drive in mine. Unbelievably fast, built like a tank, can be had refurbished for 1/10 cost of new!)Brother HL-2230 laser printer (needs an easily installed driver file from Brother website, supports 'toner saver'.)Brother MFC-J450DW inkjet/scanner (same as above, scanner and fax works extremely well)Logitech keyboard and/or mouse with 'Unifying Receiver'. Inexpensive, versatile solution for low-light phot
I bought this mainly to help with Zoom meetings when I work from home. I tried the ring light on a desktop computer, tablet and iPhone, and all worked well, as long as I positioned the clip at one end of the screen so it didn’t cover any part of the camera. The clip is sturdy enough to keep the light in place, but still gentle on the screen. The ring light has three different modes (which you cycle through using the power button), and each mode has four levels of brightness that you can adjust with the + and - buttons. Most of the settings are too bright to stare into for an extended period of time, though, so those are probably better suited for photographs than videoconferences. My favorite setting ended up being the natural light/low brightness, as it looks the most flattering on camera. The only downsides are that 1) The light did not work well with a virtual Zoom background. I tried it on the “warm” setting, and it created black blotches behind me periodically and my coworker said it made my hair look like it had been dyed. I don’t know if this is a problem with this particular ring light, though, or an issue with ring lights and virtual Zoom backgrounds in general. 2) When you turn it on, the light automatically goes to the brightest setting no matter what it was set on last, so it’s blinding every single time you turn it on. And 3) Some of the product description for this item is incorrect. The light is advertised as having five different levels of brightness whereas mine only has four. And the description mentions an “SOS function” when you double click the power button but mine does not do this no matter how many different ways I try to double click it.Despite these shortcomings, this is an inexpensive, portable, versatile solution for better lighting and I’m glad I got it.

Good Quality, Delivers as Advertised

We've been using this for a month now, and so far everything has worked as advertised. Setup was easy with the QR code. I opted for the 7 day storage option, and so far that's been plenty. We've already caught one of the kids sneaking a boyfriend into the house while we were at work. Actually saw a little more than I wanted to when reviewing the clips. Our camera is hidden in a fake plant and if you don't know it's there you'll never notice it. I would say that if you pan or zoom the camera remotely someone in the room will likely hear it moving. A better online user interface and more intuitive controls would get this 5 stars from me. As it is right now, the Amcrestview option to view live is a convoluted mess in all the browsers I've tried, but it gets the job done to just view live. The Amcrest Cloud viewer runs better in the browser, but doesn't have as many tweaks during live viewing. I've been able to download clips and save them off to Google Drive. The Amcrestview app for Android works fine, but is slow to load. The Amcrest Cloud app is actually a little faster, in my opinion, for viewing activity after the fact. Takes a bit to figure out the menus to set up notifications and such, but once I got familiar with it adjusting those was pretty simple. All in all I'd say it it was well worth the price, I feel it's a good value. I'd be comfortable adding a second one of these for more coverage. It appears the viewing apps are set up pretty well for using multiple cameras. I've attached a video so you can get an idea of what you can when viewing on a PC.
