We bought this monitor in 2018 to use with our first baby. I loved that it was a closed system and not tied to our WiFi (I’d had a app based baby monitor in the past to spy on our dogs, but it was finicky and there was a long lag). This system is great, the picture quality is good in light and dark conditions. The two way talk feature is also useful for toddlers. In 2020 we had another baby and bought a second camera, it was super easy to pair and with the scan feature, it’s easy to keep an eye on both kids.But what really makes this a 5 star review for me is the customer service. About a week ago, the video quality became garbled. I contacted customer service, they helped me trouble shoot, and then when we couldn’t get it fixed, they replaced the monitor for free. We were 18 months out of the warranty period and they stood by their product and made sure that we had functional equipment. I need to purchase a video monitor for something at work, and now there’s no question that I’ll buy this one again. Great product and great company.

Honestly I got this on a great deal and even at the regular brace it's so worth it. It does so much more than alot of the expensive baby cameras for half the price. I would say the one downside is that the battery doesn't stay charge long enough so it would die if you were to try to use it All night without it being on hooked to the charger. It also takes a bit to charge once dead. I do say I love the fact that you can zoom in and turn the screen off and have it as an auto monitor and can turn the screen back on with any button. My favorite feature is it blocks out the background noise in case you have a baby or children like mine who like to listen to music to stay asleep. Super great. Plus it plays music and well but doesnt block that out, I'm assuming bc it comes from the camera itself ONLY taking a star off because of the battery life. I'd say 4.5 for the price

We’ve used this monitor for over 2 years with our son and recently purchased a second monitor for our baby born in April. We have loved this monitor - the range is good, the picture is clear, and we like that it doesn’t rely on wifi. Perhaps the best thing about Infant Optics though, is the customer service. I’ve contacted the company twice for different issues and was responded to within a day each time. The second issue was a bit more in-depth and required a lot of back and forth and an eventual camera replacement. I emailed back and forth numerous times with the same customer service rep. She always responded within 2 days (usually only 1), and even got back to me on a holiday and weekend, which was not at all expected. The company went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with their product and made the entire experience painless. I would recommend this monitor to anyone solely based on the customer service alone - it really is probably the best service I’ve received as a consumer.

After reading dozens of reviews for baby monitors, I chose the Infant Optics DXR-8 for the following reasons: (1) affordability, (2) ease of setup and installation, (3) recognition from tech and baby reviewing entities, (4) range, and (5) no interference with other devices or connections.(1) The unit I purchased seems to be its most recent model/iteration and well under $180, which is very reasonable compared to competitors.(2) The clearly written instructions and well-labeled components of the monitor are packaged thoughtfully, which made for a breezy setup. For instance, the adapter for the camera unit and the adapter for the monitor unit are labeled in the packaging and with an icon so you do not confuse the two.(3) The accolades from various consumer and tech perspectives provided credibility for my decision.(4) I can sit in the backyard 2 floors down during naptime and still have range to view the monitor.(5) I do not have to worry about interference on my phone or an app crashing in order to keep tabs on the baby while in the kitchen or office.Hoping I don't have to use the customer service, but the reviews on that are also reassuring!

I love this system for everything from its slick modern design, it's portability, and ease of use. We opted for the 2 camera system for $354.00 and I'm very happy with my purchase. This works great in the day and night time. Images come in very very clear. There's a slight Iag in the live real time feed but 3.5 seconds or so. Also the magnetic mounts...GENUIS idea to give two bonus mounts that way if your needs change its easy to move the cameras to another location within minutes!!! Netgear is a name I trust and that along with this being a completely wireless setup is what really sold me on this perticuler kit.. I haven't experience any issues with the app, except for if my boyfriend and I are trying to log in at the same time it will boot the other person out and will give a message indicating that someone else has logged in on another device. This system is expandable up to eight devices. Arlo comes with a variety of features and adjustable settings. 5 stars from me. We've had this noe fit 1 week.

I bought this because I was not sure if a holster is my answer. I used a belt holder for my two cameras before and it made me walk funny...So I didn’t want to invest in the money maker quite yet... well now I don’t need to, because this one fills all my needs, and I couldn’t wish for more.My shoulders are not hurting at all at the end of a 10 hour wedding, attachments are sturdy and reliable, camera is not slowly unscrewing like in my waste belt system. And this comes with a security second attachment.The leather “plate” in the back is great. I haven’t had those pinching problems money maker owners complain about.It’s real leather and sturdy. I was a second to a seasoned photographer and saw this on her, she highly recommended and I jumped at this brand in particular because the million options out there were a little overwhelming. It was nice to get a real life recommendation from someone who does weddings every weekend.

We have used our monitor and camera every day for almost three years now. It has travelled with us to foreign countries and on boats so we certainly are getting use out of it. We've had to order new batteries twice now, but I do think that is to be expected. Recently though the mini-usb charging plug stopped working so it wouldn't charge at all. Infant Optics customer service to the RESCUE. They didn't have to go out of their way (we were well past our warranty). I asked if there was a way to fix the usb plug and they were so incredibly kind as to replace the monitor with a new one, with a new plug (as it had been upgraded). We sent back the old one and the new one promptly came in the mail. We have a new baby on the way so I suspect we will be Infant Optics customers for a while to come. Thank you for making it really easy for us. You certainly have our loyalty.

This Gimbal is really great for the price. It was nearly exactly what I was wanting and I didn't have to pay a ton for it. It works as advertised. It's very sturdy, feels substantial in the hand, and keeps my phone steady in every shot. There are two minor flaws. First, the app for controlling the tracking is a little glitchy. Some people have said that their app crashes. I have the iPhone Xs Max and it hasn't crashed yet, but the app is not as smooth functioning as I would have liked. Second, it would be nice if my phone would fit better with its case on. It will fit but is not recommended with a bigger case. Partly because of the weight and also because it doesn't fit snug. Overall, those are things I can workaround. You do not need the Hohem app to make it work. You can still shoot silky smooth videos from other camera apps. The case is just a minor inconvenience. I would recommend this Gimbal to anyone looking for a great way to shoot videos with your phone.
