A little to sensitive.
These work well. I mainly use ear buds for phone calls. My issue with them is that the slightest touch hangs up your call. If they feel a little loose you can’t adjust it without hanging up your call even brushing my hair back can hang up the call. It is also difficult to get the correct taps in the right order to adjust the volume. They automatically turn on when taking them out of the case but they controls go nuts as you are putting them in your ears. I keep getting the “voice dial” and the music automatically starts playing. They say to leave your Bluetooth off until you get them in your ears but I have trouble remembering to turn it off.

Nice Computer Speakers
I love this set. The only thing I don't like about these speakers is that I have to remember to turn them on & off when I want to use them. My old set was powered by the computer so I didn't need to think about it. The big base is tucked under my desk and the speakers are spread out on the wall. It's nice that one of them has forward facing controls and a led indicator so I can remember to turn them off when I leave too.

Very nice for their size and price
I think these speakers are a good choice if you want a fairly inexpensive powered speaker set that doesn't take up much desk space. At low to moderate volume they sound like fairly ordinary cheap computer speakers, kind of thin and harsh. If you raise the volume a little more, however, I find these speakers suddenly wake up. The sound becomes warm and well-rounded while maintaining good clarity and low distortion. It really sounds like a larger speaker than it is at this point, but you have to turn it up beyond background listening levels.The design is attractive and feels like good quality for the price. I wish that there were another choice for the driver color besides school-bus yellow though. I also would mind the ability to turn off the bright blue LED around the volume control. Also, if you have big fingers, the knobs are a bit shallow and close together.Overall, I think they are a great choice for the casual user. If you really appreciate good sound however, and can spare a little more cash and space, I think you would do well to consider other options.

Perfect Quality/Price Ratio
These speakers are a phenomenal value. They sound as good as my Yamaha system with a resonance you really can only get from traditional boxy speakers.The most impressive thing is that you really don't notice the lack of a subwoofer, which is a total departure from most 2.1 systems, which really lean on the subwoofer to even out the satellite speakers.I have used these in my home office for a few months now, and they impress me every time I turn them on.

Perfect TV/PC Speakers Almost......
For such a small size and such a low price, I can only say mostly good things about these little speakers. I have them hooked up to a flat screen TV with the usual crappy onboard speakers. The R980T sound at least 25 times better. They are great for Pandora music and make watching movies much more enjoyable. I'm taking away one star because once the speakers are turned on they stay on and I only remember to turn them off about half the time. Hell my 20 yr. old Advent PC speakers go into sleep mode when no signal is present. Had this small bit of attention to detail been present in these Edifier's, they'd be right near perfect for their intended use. That being said I've been using them daily for extended periods of time for about a month now and they still perform as well as the day I hooked them up. So I've no real complaints, just an "I wish" regarding these little speakers.

These are not subs.
They sound better than the OEM speakers they replaced. The lower frequencies seem a bit deeper. Not sure what that huge magnet does that the OEM speakers with grape sized magnets didn't do. Overall I'm happy, I just hope they continue working for a few years and don't give up the ghost in a few months. Running these in a 2003 Honda Accord EX 4 Cyl without an amp.They're not supposed to fit my car but the only problem is I can't button up the door panels near the speaker.After extended listening I'm still pleased with these speakers. Audio snobs might turn their noses up at this brand but the more I listen to them the more I'm impressed by the sound output and the range and detail they provide.NOTE: when I first turned on the radio, the speakers sounded like they were blown because they had a terrible scratchy buzzy sound, but after about 1 minute the sound smoothed out and got better. They sound fine now. Perhaps the voice coil needs to be broken in or needs to run a while to line up properly, I don't know for sure.
