If you're a major audiophile, just cough up the cash for high-end speakers. This review is for more casual users, because that's who should be buying speakers like these.I bought a set of these when my ancient but beloved desktop computer speakers stopped working, only to learn that the problem wasn't the speakers but my motherboard's audio jack. Instead of returning them I gave them to my wife for her laptop, since its speakers are super weak. We've had them a few months now and they seem to be good. Volume is more than adequate, no distortion, good on-unit volume control, no distracting bright lights or other unnecessary nonsense.One thing to note is that because they're functionally round, you can't use them very well on anything but an actual flat surface like a desk. 99% of the time this will never matter, but if you're trying to use them laying in bed or something, they'll constantly be rolling and facing the wrong way, whereas a more standard boxy one you could just lay there upright or on its side and it would stay-put facing where you put it. They can also roll OFF the bed, if you're not careful.All in all decent speakers with good functionality for general use. Great for video games, CASUALLY listening to music, voice chat, movies, etc. Hardcore audiophiles, suck it up and spend more money. If you care that much about something, you have to be willing to pay for that super high-end equipment.

So compact and with a variety of volumes, with this little machine, we sleep like babies!
