Well built, reliable functionality and loaded with features
It is a good idea and it looks nice. I use it on my garage where I don't have internet service. The quality of the picture is not clear enough to see the person face. No matter how I point the camera it does not capture the area I want to see people walking into the property. In that sense it is useless.

Great video! Top notch company
UPDATE: the company reached out to me and sent me a brand new set and it works perfectly! I just had a defective battery. The picture (night and day) and sound quality on the monitor is great! I love how I can talk to my toddler through the camera and adjust the brightness and the sound levels. I even like the super convenient little kick stand it has on the back of the parent monitor. Set us is really easy and the interface is user friendly. My one problem: the battery life is HORRIBLE. When I first unboxed it, I plugged it in so it could fully charge, I think the instructions said around 4 hours. Well, the charging light never turned green, it always stayed red which I though was weird. When it’s not plugged into the wall, the parent monitor lasts MAYBE a couple of hours before dying and that’s when I have it set to sleep (VOX) mode. The monitor will beep and show the current video if it detects sounds or movement when the VOX is on to conserve battery life. When I don’t have the VOX on and the screen is on constantly, the battery lasts less than an hour. Thought about returning it, but this is my only set so I just suck it up and deal with the inconvenient battery life and keep it plugged in.

You are not done spending money with this.
I can tell you this telescope is great. assembly was easy and parts were prefabbed to excellent quality standards. the finder works okay but I would like a 90 degree viewer finder so I dont have to bend down and stick my head to the scope. Know that you are not done spending money! Look up eyepiece prices they are ASTRONOMICAL! I bought used and new ones on eBay for a reasonable prices $25-$50 each for cheapest ones you will at least want to buy a 15 mm and a 40 mm and a 2x Barlow eyepiece. 1.25'' sizes are cheapest . you can buy individual 2'' pieces from the Celestron eyepiece kit that is sold on amazon for $270 for $45 a piece separately if you can find them on eBay that's like the cheapest for 2" if you want to go that route . Filters are $15 a piece and up. So do your research on eyepieces. you may be better off buying a kit than separate pieces sometimes. No camera pictures from this look as clear as the objects seen with your eye in the eyepiece by the way. But it seems like a great beginner scope. One thing tho NO EYEPIECE HOLDER! it has holes for it but doesn't come with it. Why not!I have a 3d printer so can make one that is on thing averse ( look up Orion eyepiece holder).30 minute build time. comes with all tools. Use your own Allen wrenches because theirs strip.

Tried and true. But could use some simple improvem
Happily received this unit as a gift after having it on our registry. I love that fact it’s a simple, portable, and easy to use system. There are definitely others out there with wayyy more features and even better picture quality. This does absolutely everything I need it to. I don’t need to set the system up with WiFi, making it easy to bring around on our travels (grandparents house, vacation, etc) just plug in and you’re ready to go. Zoom is more then sufficient for our use, and having the ability to add another camera if we add another baby into our lives is great. The battery life has proven to be adequate but I’ve heard rumors from other owners of it slowly dying and not holding a charge after a year or two of liberal use.Which brings me to my biggest complaint albeit a petty one. The monitor requires a unique charging cable. Come on, it’s 2021. Why isn’t this thing powered by a micro usb like literally everything else. I have more micro usb cables the I know what to do with. It would be super convenient to keep a charging cable in the nursery, in the kitchen, in the living room and on our night stand. But nope, we’re stuck with an old school 5v input.

Nice budget, entry-level option, with some niggles
For somebody who’d always fancied a bit of stargazing but didn’t want to shell out excessive hundreds on something premium (as I wasn’t sure if I’d be any good at it!), this seemed ideal. Relatively inexpensive for what it is, it’s an “entry level” telescope to try out some easy first steps of sky-watching. If it becomes a life-long passion then you’ll definitely end up investing in something better before long. But being on the cheap side, it comes with some frustrations. For me the biggest of these was the positioning of the tripod. The margins between looking at your intended star and blank sky are very fine and no matter how firmly you try to set things, it has a tendency to wander. There’s no micro-adjustment for finessed movement, and I really wish there was.For junior users- I was hoping to introduce my kids to stars with this- it can be a bit tricky too. Both the eyepiece and the finderscope have very narrow viewable areas and it’s instinctive for kids to grab the eyepiece as they look at it, but this can move the sight completely. The visual quality is decent rather than superb. I’m not qualified to make pro comparisons- other reviewers will do that better- but while it was nice to see the detail of the moon’s craters in a manner that resembled the famous photographs rather than just the regular white blob, it doesn’t blow you away. I’ll keep trying to find that ‘wow’ moment but you’re not going to get anything revolutionary out of this.Although it arrives packaged well, with plenty of stages of recyclable cardboard to protect all the pieces, there’s a slight shortage of attention-to-detail. Here are some examples, that may come across as a very whingey list:The zenith mirror part I got was covered in an odd gluey residue that I had to clean before I could fit it.The finderscope’s third screw wouldn’t go all the way in, meaning that in order to align the finderscope in the right direction I had to improve a tiny bit of padding to compensate for the lateral pressure of the screw on the other side. The three eyepieces come in individual plastic pots, but there’s no indication the outside which pot is which so you have to open each one to find the 25mm.The cardboard section that held the lenses had a screw, a spring and a cap banging about loose in the box. Spares? Mistakes? I still have no idea. The instructions are a little bit primitive and the photographs are unclear. It’s a Chinglish instruction leaflet that refers to “optional charging accessories” that have nothing to do with charging, that kind of thing. Those kind of details are niggling rather than truly problematic, but they can take the edge off the initial joy of your shiny new toy.On a similar note- but not actually a criticism- although there is an accessory tray that sits in the middle of the tripod, if you’re buying this it’s worth getting yourself a little accessory bag to keep the various lens pots and cleaning cloth in, just for the sake of tidiness. If you’re strictly on a budget but you really really want a beginner’s telescope, this is a very nice introduction. But if you want to, and can afford to, spend a bit extra to get something with a more satisfying quality to it, then maybe you should.

Great product, amazing customer service
When we were expecting our first child, I did a lot of research for the best baby monitor. I soon found out that almost everyone’s top pick was infant optics. We registered for it and received it as a gift. We loved it! The sound and video quality are excellent and I can sleep peacefully knowing I can see and hear my daughter at all times. A few months after our 1 year warranty ended, I accidentally dropped the monitor and it stopped showing video. I was devastated at the thought of not being able to see my daughter at night. I reached out to infant optics and spoke with Gladys, one of their customer service representatives. She was so kind! They made and exception to their policy and offered to send us a new monitor. She also was very diligent in following up with me to ensure I received it and gave detailed instructions on how to pair it with our current camera. I was so thankful I only had to go through a couple nights of not having video. We are expecting our second child soon and you bet we registered for another infant optics DXR-8 monitor! The product is reliable and exactly what we need and the customer service team goes above and beyond to help their customers. We would highly recommend!

Good kit
So the chest mount is awesome and will fit me contrary to the video review. It also takes a great video perspective. The selfie stick seems to weak. But so far it is working great. I have not used the bobber. It is hard plastic and not rubber. The plastic seems durable. The clips are tight on the sides but there is some slight rattle. some tape under the clip seems to fix this. Overall a good product. I would buy it again. 4 stars because it's not the best.EEEKit Review: http://youtu.be/fDiXWBtnV-0follow up: I have now had this kit since around Christmas time for about 5 months. It showed up before the arrival date and I was able to take it to Las Vegas for New Years. I have a GoPro Hero 3 and this works great. The Chest Harness is snug but I can get into it. I have used all the mounts except the suction cup mount. I don't trust it. All the other mounts work great. The mono pod can spin on you but this is not a deal breaker for me. There is a little rattle sound in the video but a piece of electrical tape under the mount from the camera attached to the eeekit piece will stop that. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it. I have used it on hiking trips, bicycling, sledding, and on my UTV. This is a good kit I would purchase this again.

Rugged, easy and reliable
ProsWithstands the (involuntary) 2 ft fall testAdequate physical size to carry around (or flee from a disaster area)Manufacturer's technical support and test softwareGood warrantyConsBundled backup and restore program runs only full backups, not incremental or differential onesComputer hiccups, hardware failures, disasters or viruses? When they hit, it may be too late to rescue your precious files and digital photos. That's why I believe in backups, and the reason why acquired the Seagate Portable 2TB External Hard Drive Portable HDD – USB 3.0 when I had a fair amount of reward points accumulated somewhere. This is the second brand name external HDD that I've used of more than 500GB and the 4th one that I have used in recent memory (the other 3 were a generic one I assembled with a COMPUSA external HDD enclosure and a Western Digital 20GB HDD, the other was a SyQuest removable external drive (remember those?) and another brand-name 1TB). It's so small (smaller then my other 1TB drive) that it can fit in the corner of my emergency evacuation bag.The Seagate brand has been around since the birth of the personal computer era and, as both a user and a computer service technician, I had a history of generally good and reliable experiences with it. So, I was looking forward to a similar experience and, generally, I've been pleased.Oh, I forgot: just when I recently opened the box it came in, it slipped from my hand to the floor, 2 to 3 ft. “Game Over!”- I though. So,... with some trepidation, I connected it to my Windows 10 Home laptop computer and, Voila! It worked! Just in case, I downloaded and installed in my computer the Seagate's SeaTools for Windows and tested it overnight: passed. I copied the contents of my other 1TB external HDD to it. Rugged, isn't it. No issues, so far.Once I registered it by running the “Start Here Win” routine from the drive, I got to download and install the “Seagate DiscWizard”, a nifty program offered as bundled to clone, backup and restore drives and data files. I ran an Entire Computer backup (the equivalent of a full backup) of my laptop and it did it in 11 minutes and 39 seconds: not bad. Then, I tested restoring by deleting an image file from my regular user account, rebooted the computer, ran DiscWizard, had to enter my administrator's password, selected Recovery (the software's term for Restore) and browse down to the file I knew was missing and restored it to my user account. That was easy, but,... DiscWizard won't allow for incremental or differential backups. On the other hand, every time you run an entire computer backup, the program overwrites the previous backup. If you are backing up or recovering a laptop computer, be sure that 1) its battery is fully charged and 2) that its connected to its own AC adapter and 3) “backup fully, backup often”.A worst case scenario of the Seagate external drive becoming non-responsive or missing part or all your backup, may call for Rescue DATA RECOVERY SERVICES, included with the purchase of the drive. This is a plus (although, I prefer not to have to use it).I look forward to use it as my main backup device, while turning my other 1TB drive to a day to day external storage unit. Verdict: 4 stars! All photos (c) 2021 by reviewer.

Good POE cam
I already own the same type (or even the model) but from Hikvision. I needed a wider view angle for the driveway so I replaced a 4mm with the 2.8mm here and voila it’s perfect how. It’s connected to BlueIris CCTV software (highly recommended if you have a spare PC with the recommended specs). The picture quality is good and it has build-in mic. To change the on screen location of date/time you will have to connect to the camera via web browser. That was ok until I run into the issue that you need a plugin. When you click on the link for the plugin (displayed on the webpage) it redirect you to a PDF document ??? .. after chatting the support they said I need the SeaMonkey browser (open source browser) and with that I was able to see the video feed in the browser and could realign the time stamp. The SeaMonkey webpage showed that the browser will be discontinued in the future. That will be interesting and I hope Amcrest is working on a solution. If you are just connecting the cam to a DVR ignore the above. And one more thing, it’s a PoE (Power over Ethernet) can, you ether need a 12V power supply or a PoE switch for the cam. I saw a negative review complaining that he has to buy a PoE switch or power adapter???? Of course you have to cause it’s a PoE cam exactly what you read in the product description before you ordered....
