I always carry it with me on trips because as a light sleeper even the slightest noise in hotels can wake me up. This is the perfect remedy in the perfect size for that. It has good quality white noise, and has very good volume (I almost always use it around the middle). It's small and relatively lightweight. It has its own charging cable but sometimes I don't even carry it because it uses any Android phone or camera charger.As for battery duration I use it one night plugged in, and the next unplugged with the charge of the previous night. I use it the whole night and once using for more than one night without charging, the battery died in the middle of the night so I've found out the previous schedule guarantees operation all night.My only con is that it would be great if it had a headphone plug, sometimes I would love being able to use it in the airplane. The other thing that annoys me is that I haven't figured out the process for turning it on! I press the on button, release, leave it pressed, or some routine like this and after a few seconds it turns on. I really haven't figured out exactly what the turning on process is exactly. Wish I could just press the on button and it turned on, but no! Not a major issue, after playing with it a little it eventually turns on, but it's weird.

I bought this monitor because I care for my mom, who suffers from Alzheimer's and lives with us. Her bedroom is on the opposite side of our house, and she fell early one morning and we couldn't hear her calling for us until my son came into the room near hers. I was concerned about having video, because I didn't want her to feel we're spying on her, and I didn't want to stay awake all night from the light coming off the video screen. Well, this is working out perfectly. The display has an auto-wake feature and the screen will go black unless I wake it up or she makes noises that will wake it up. I can also set the sensitivity of the noise it picks up, so we don't hear the small noises she makes in her sleep. I feel much better at night knowing we have this and will wake up if she has any problems, and I can check on her anytime that I need to. The two-way communication is perfect for us, too. Being able to move the camera helps us cover the entire room as well. A perfect solution for our needs right now, and it came very quickly too.

I purchased 2 of these now - for our 3rd baby and I love it. Love it so much I bought a 2nd to have an extra monitor unit and stick a camera in our older kids room as well as the nest cam. I’ve tried the Motorola popular one (gone through 2 they both broke, battery stopped charging on one), nest - I use for home security great but sick of having to log nanny/babysitter into iPad or devices to view, Nanit. another 2 I can’t even remember the names of, I even resorted to an audio only one for a while to avoid having to make a decision and sink another $150/$200 on another baby monitor for 3rd baby.I’m so glad I found this one. It gives decent range, the picture quality is amazing, it’s a big screen, the battery life on the monitor is decent. I searched for years to find this and asked other moms what they had and loved - no other moms I asked found anything they loved they were all making do.I’m giving it 5 stars but 4 for battery life as it says Up to 15 hours I thin but I’m sure we only get 7/8 out of it. Which is still way more than I’ve ever had out of any other unit.

I'll start with why I had to only give 4 stars. There is something in the lense, I actually think its a dead bug. Its very small and doesn't effect much, in fact I didn't notice it at first. But its there and it shouldn't be and its inside so I cant clean it.Otherwise this is amazing. Picture quality is like looking through a 90s black and white digital camera (except you can see in the dark), but that's a lot better than the 90s Russian surplus NV I had previously. There is no green tint which is great and the focus works well to keep the image sharp considering what it is. Also the infrared spotlight is impressively bright. Its not just a little led its a real emitter. My old NV I found myself having to supplement it with an infrared flashlight but I dont feel the need with the Carson. Because of the infrared you can use it in pitch black as far as the IR light will throw which is a few dozen yards.This thing isn't the greatest as far as image quality or light amplification. But keep in mind it is TINY and CHEAP (in a good way). Its a pocket sized spy gadget/toy and for $100 its a lot of fun. For the size and price I'm truly impressed. Im gonna use it watch the raccoons make a circus out of my back yard.

This thing is awesome! Takes very little time to install. my front door is old and the deadbolt isn't flush to the door, so I had to install a metal back plate before I could install my August Lock. After installation, I kept a close eye on it before fully trusting that it would lock on its own, but after a couple days, I was good. it locks automatically after 30 seconds (I set it to my preference, I believe you can set it up to 2 mins). I never worry about whether or not I've locked my door after I've left the house. I know August locked itself. I LOVE THE log that shows me when the door was locked/unlocked either with a key or by the app. I live in an apartment so it lets me see when the service guys actually came and went (next step is an indoor camera so I REALLY know what they do). AND that's the thing, I live in an apartment and I want to make my home smart without doing anything that the lease won't allow or even anything that I have to get permission for. This lock is perfect for apartments/rental units. Allows the landlord to still have access while adding some tech to your home, Gives you a record of their entry/exit, easy install. Worth the money!

This has a nice tall neck and can be adjusted to any height desired. It can only be shaped into the 90 degree overhead angle with the light/phone holder suspended over the weighted base. This means the higher you have it raised, the base is visible in photos and videos, unless you drape a prop over it if that matters. It cannot be flipped at a 90 degree opposite of the weighted base, so it won't show up on camera. This is definitely a place for improvement. Even if they made it so it would swivel 180 degrees to achieve this preferred position. The lighting brightness is OK as additional lighting not by itself even on the highest setting, meaning for most shots I must have pretty good general room lighting. The remote is great so you can seamlessly adjust lighting without needing to pause. The phone holder is beyond maxed out when using my Samsung Galaxy note20 ultra. It takes all my finger strength to pry it wide enough to accept the phone. Another improvement opportunity. At its current state, I use it solely for overhead shots since that works well so I don't have to stack or build a contraption. If they made a few improvements, this would be phenomenal. I like the concept and will keep my eyes open for future updates, and once it's offered with improvements I will be ordering another.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!

 We purchased this baby monitor for our daughter and not only does she love it, but so do we!!! She loves the multiple features this monitor offers such as the night vision, which works amazing even in her son's room which is really dark. The picture quality is so good, during the day and at night. She loves the tilt feature, especially since her son is starting to move around a lot more, so she can move the camera around more easily. The fact that there is the 2 way talk capability is so cool!! They live in an older house, so knowing the temperature in her baby's room is hard, but with this monitor not only does she know the temperature, but she knows the humidity level as well!! She said setting it up was super easy and she has had no problems. NOW, for the best feature of all, or at least for me... you can upload an app and have the monitor on your phone too!!! This is amazing for me as a grandparent that lives several states away. I can "peek" in on my grandson and say "hi" through the two way talk. It's kind of like facetiming through a baby monitor so that way I can get some "grandma" time in with my grandson. This baby monitor has so many amazing features for such a comparable cost and the quality is top-notch. Highly recommended.
