I just got this two days ago. We really liked it and then tonight all the sudden I wake up and the screen is screwed up. It's all red tinted and now all the icons are red (they were not before) and theres red lines moving across the screen. Lame I was definitely pleased with this and searched for a decent priced baby monitor for a while and really thought this would be good. Where you at seller.UPDATE: it was definitely a faulty monitor. I ended up getting a message from someone and they sent me a new monitor. I told them I would update my review when I got it (unprompted), and I bumped it from a 1 star to a 4. I really liked this when I got it so the fact that they ended up getting in touch with me and sent me a replacement is nice. The picture is good even in night vision. The sound is good. I feel like for the price this is a great system. It has music, sounds, temp of the room and you can turn off the screen to save power...plus zoom etc. Speaking of, the screen is large compared to others I've seen. The battery doesnt last all that long but it's fine. I use it for my 18 month old just to keep an eye on her, I never used a monitor while she was an infant since she was in our room. I'm considering getting another camera for the rest of her room while she is playing because i cant view a very large area.

 I don't have anything I don't like about this monitor other than the fact I didn't get it sooner! Wow ! It's got amazing picture quality even in night vision mode which it switches to automatically. It's super easy to use, you can move the camera all from the screen . It has many controls for sound,lighting, picture zooming and movement . So much you can do with it ! It even looks nice! Our daughter currently sleeps with us but it will come in handy when we do move her to her own room or we have her in ours taking a nap while I do household chores and I can still keep an eye on her. The screen charges so you can carry it around anywhere with you. It would also work for a security thing. I leave it in our living room and I can make it go around 360 if I hear any noises . I can see our whole living room. Part of kitchen and hall way leading to our laundry room and bathroom plus our bedroom door. Which for a super anxious person like me it eases my mind where I can go back to sleep . I love this thing that's the just of it. It's amazing and I wish I had it sooner

At this $100 price, it's hard for the curious hobbyist to pass up.Two 'tricks' ... #1 these operate best in starlight conditions. Suburban light pollution detracts from the performance. #2 is adding a fixed IR-LED illuminator at a set range that you want to pay attention to. There are IR LED spotlights as well. Più che una recensione vorrei condividere con voi la motivazione che mi ha spinto a vendere la mia Hero 7 Black in favore del nuovo modello di casa GoPro.In passato ho avuto una Hero 4, una 5 Session, la Hero 7 ed ora la Hero 8. Un po' ne ho provate, non ho alcuna esperienza professionale, il mio è un uso totalmente amatoriale.Non starò ad elencare le novità di questa nuova telecamera, è pieno di recensioni valide sul web, vorrei concentrarmi su un aspetto più pratico, più tangibile.Chi la usa per lavoro apprezzerà maggiormente gli aspetti tecnici e le sue qualità top di gamma per un'action cam. A me però poco interessa di girare video 4K a 60fps durante le mie vacanze al mare perché avrei bisogno anche di un pc che possa far girare in modo fluido questi video durante il montaggio.Qual è quindi un aspetto che TUTTI possono e vogliono apprezzare? L'esperienza d'uso e la semplicità nell'utilizzo; questi sono piaceri universali. Se un prodotto è valido ma funziona male la gente storce il naso..se tutto funziona alla perfezione allora è magia!L'ecosistema GoPro su questo mi ha sempre lasciato l'amaro in bocca, è bello, colorato e stimolante ma situazioni avverse come la difficile connettività della camera con il cellulare (parlo della Hero 7 Black con il mio Huawei Mate 10 Pro, non di modelli troppo lontani), poca sensibilità del touchscreen, alcuni momenti di crush, lentezza nel gestire le impostazioni dalla camera mi facevano passare la voglia di utilizzarla. Il bello di queste telecamere sono anche la spensieratezza nell'utilizzo, non hanno bisogno necessariamente di un approccio scientifico.Con la hero 8 e il suo aggiornamento software ho la sensazione di avere per la prima volta tra le mani (dopo quattro acquisti!!) una GoPro più immediata, più intuitiva e pratica!Finalmente la connettività con il cellulare posso definirla quasi normale, la navigazione nei menù è decisamente molto semplice e smart, finalmente il touch è drasticamente più fluido..posso tirare finalmente un sospiro di sollievo!La novità dei PRESET è veramente la svolta. Non voglio aggiungere altro.Complessivamente se devo darle un voto generale le do 9/10! Rispetto ad un 7.5/10 della Hero 7 Black, parere personale.

The vendor would have saved themselves tons of troubles if they have taken time to proof read the instruction that comes with the product. Most instructions in the pamphlet are incorrect. I suspect that the app was updated recently and the printed pamphlet did not. It would have been easier to direct consumers to a weblink where the vendor could provide more timely updates.For example, according to the instruction pamphlet, users should be able to install the device by scanning the QR code on the device. Nope, no device found. Nor did I hear the "doo doo sound" when the device was first powered on.The in-app instruction is confusing but that is the correct one. I did succeed in the end but I'm still mystified because this process differs from every other smart appliance I had installed so far.Once the security camera is able to tap into my home wi-fi network, it works beautifully. I install it outside my house, under the eves and directly above my front door. Even during the recent winter snowstorm where temps dropped to -20 deg, this cam continued to work.Two improvements I’d like to see :— The auto tracking function seems to only work in yaw but not pitch rotations. For example, the cam would be triggered by a “humanoid figure” at the front gate that is 10 feet away but does not track it when the figure walks closer.— Allow customization of the voice warning messages. My kids are sick of hearing the robotic voice repeating “hello, welcome” 4 times when they come in.

After four months of use, I’m generally happy with the Infant Optics monitor. Night vision, picture quality, sound quality, and battery life are all great. Get used to hearing your baby’s white noise, though, because this thing doesn’t filter out any of the ambient noise AT ALL (not sure if there are other products that do that... I just assume because a phone can!)The only issue I have—and it definitely is a frustrating one!—is that the parent unit often loses connection with the camera in baby’s room! It happens for just a few seconds at a time on and off, but that’s enough to drive you crazy when you just can’t get the thing positioned *just so* to keep them connected. Of course, we have the biggest issue when the parent unit is in our bedroom at night—the little sleep we get is interrupted by trying to find the magic spot to make sure the connection stays strong. And it’s not like we live in Buckingham Palace or anything... we don’t have a separate wing... but here we are still!Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. I like that you don’t need to be connected to wifi for this unit to work, like that it’s easy to use and install, just wish that I didn’t feel like the Verizon Wireless “can you hear me now?” guy trying to hear my kid at night.

My first experience with this monitor was poor. The battery life was short and didn’t last me a full day of naps, there was this annoying beeping whenever it was “out of range” (this included any time my phone was located between the monitor and the camera on my nightstand and every time someone used the microwave). I contacted customer service to see if the device could be replaced and they just kept sending me different pages of the manual instructing me to reset, to re-pair, and to recharge.I finally gave up and we figured out how to navigate around the annoying quirks.Jump ahead 18 months and the whole unit froze and then shut off. I tried purchasing a new battery and had no luck. So I contacted customer service again and this time Kristine TOOK CARE OF US!!!Seriously, amazing customer service. She responded almost immediately every time I emailed her. She helped me troubleshoot and, when nothing else worked, offered to send me a new unit, even though we were 6 months beyond the 1 year warranty period.The new unit arrived a day earlier than expected and works perfectly. The battery life is significantly better, we no longer get those annoying “out of range” beeps and this unit even came with an extra USB charger (which is so nice for traveling!).I’m so impressed with the way they’ve taken care of use and “redeemed” their original poor service!
