This is night and day quality difference between my old 1080p cameras and the new 4k quality cameras. They're not a strain on my wifi or computer network either. I have this camera on my garage and it sees the house from 75 feet away just fine. License plates are recognizable from about 40-50 feet away with the 2.8mm lens. Can recognize make/model of vehicle from about 150 feet.Night time quality is very good with the IR that is built into the camera. Lights up my entire backyard when the feed is viewed.The smaller the lens size (this has 2.8mm), the larger the overall view will be.Overall, works great and this is my 5th camera from Amcrest. I have my whole entire yard under surveillance and hooked to an Amcrest NVR. I can view all cameras from my TV hooked to an HDMI port, and phone (both wifi and cell network).

Very interesting and worthwhile solution for many situations. Just be sure you fully understand the difference between this and an always-on surveillance system. This camera will be woken by its motion sensor, and will take a ten second video clip and upload it to the free cloud account. This might be followed by further clips if the motion continues. It comes with a base-station that it connects to wirelessly. The base-station plugs into your router. If you add more cameras, they can connect to the same base-station. It's a breeze to set up. The phone apps and online site are decent. You can schedule when you want the camera to be enabled. The camera itself is very cool. Older versions apparently had issues with battery life; I haven't had that, and I have mine enabled a lot. The night-vision is surprisingly good too. Running on battery, the camera is very easy to locate, especially in places it would be difficult or impossible to mount other wired cameras, and it's very unobtrusive. Great solution, especially for the price.

Great price and does what it needs to do. My computer shows 29.4GB of free space on the drive right out of the box. Great for transferring pictures and movies from computer to computer. The main thing I use this drive for is updating my cars software and backing up my surveillance system recordings. I've never had an issue.

With the right equipment and security configuration, this PoE Security Camera will give you great video and security for it's price. The camera has a weatherproof IP67 housing, making it Power Over Ethernet (POE camera) makes for and easy installation if you have a POE network switch. Alternately, you can purchase a POE Injector if you do not have a POE switch. Amcrest does not include a POE injector with the camera. This helps keep the price affordable and helps prevents unnecessary waste.The camera comes with Amcrest Surveillance Pro (MacOS & Windows), but it also integrates well with my existing NVR, Security Spy (MacOS), Blue Iris (Windows), and Home Assistant (Linux Home Automation Software). This is due to it being a ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) compliant camera. ONVIF is the global open standard for physical IP-based security products within the video surveillance industry, and allows it integrate with other systems easily. Setup is simplified thanks to the Amcrest IP Config software & Amcrest Web View.One of the first things that impressed me was the audio quality from the built-in microphone. The microphone is not as sensitive as some of the others I've tried. It produces a cleaner sound due to a lower mic gain. The IMX274 Sony Starvis image sensor produces a great picture and enhanced low light capability. The cameras 2.8mm lens provides a wide field of view and allows for more coverage than some of the other cameras I have used in the past.Amcrest completes the package with many software options, and optional secure cloud remote video storage. Bottom line... if you want a quality 4k POE security camera for a reasonable price... this camera is hard to beat.

We have 4 of these surveillance cameras for our home and they work great never had an issue the only thing sometimes when motion detection is on it won’t catch a car pulling up and then it will catch a bird flying by. So recommend putting and sd card in it and then it saves up to two days and you can go back to look at anyone you want.

We live on a farm and purchased this high resolution night vision camera to spot the nightlife that we hear at night. There’s so much activity which helped us understand what we were hearing and get pest control and wildlife professionals to helps resolve some issues. The pictures were so incredibly clear. I love that I’m able to mount the camera on the house or take it with me on camping trips to provide surveillance footage of the surrounding wildlife. It’s great! The device itself has camouflage design and is built with materials that are durable. It comes with an app where I can watch live or playbacks from the convenience of my couch or tent. I highly recommend if you have animal activity around your home.

This camera does everything it is supposed to do. The instructions were simple to follow and setup was very easy and similar to many others on the market. I haven't had enough time to see what kind of pictures it takes yet, but I was very satisfied with its video capabilities. The videos I took were in 720p because I wanted to make sure I had enough space on my SD card to get a good sample. I was also impressed with the distance the motion detector was triggered. I had multiple instances of getting videos of animals in the 90'-100' range. The trigger speed seems to be as advertised and was more than adequate for my application. This camera has many options to choose from for different needs. It has photo, video, video & photo, or time lapse. To sum up, this camera is a great buy for anyone wanting to observe wildlife or with surveillance needs for their property. I will update this review when I get a good sample of pictures from the camera.

I actually purchased this for watching birds at my feeders outside. The wifi was relatively easy to set up and the picture quality is fantastic. It performs better than most of the surveillance cams I've tried. When I'm not using it for that, I thought it would be fun to setup on an animal trail in the woods. Very satisfied with this product.
