Better than the new one
So much better than the 5200 series. Wish they had not stopped making them.

Still better than Bose
PrefaceIf you are interested in buying this and expecting a 300$ budget audiophile quality, this isn't the product that can do that, you should be looking at a used audioengine a2 at the bay or CL but it will cost you 120-ish + a decent DAC which will end up costing at 200$ and then you also need to EQ those a bit to subtle the bass. If you have more space get a used receiver from denon/onkyo/yamaha/sherwood, and get a used passive speakers + used subs but that will also cost you arround 200$.Otherwise well, if you don't want to waste more than 100$ for a desktop speaker then read throughWhat this is mainly is a really good (relative to the price) 2.0 computer speakers for about 60$, There's nothing special about the sound quality but i won't call it bad ... it's just adequate, decent bass, decent mids, decent highs, but with much better energy than Bose companion 2 and will satisfy most people who didn't care for spending more money for better sound. In comparison to Bose Companion 2 I think Bose Companion 2 have slightly better highs and low but the bass extend more in the creative, mainly due to creative having bigger driver. Bose mids also feels almost non-existence and thus make the sound feel so lifeless even compared to this, i suppose they set their DSP to be focused in bass and highs to trick those with less trained ears or those who don't care much about true sound quality. although i must Creative also sound a bit harsh compared to Bose, but I got mine for 45$ though so can't complain much ...

A lot better than expected
Very happy with these, especially for the price. They stay on my head and sound good.

Much better than expected!
I got 2 pairs of these for my partner and I. We both use laptops on the couch, playing red dead online lately, and these seemed good so we didn't hear each others audio.Pros:-Great sound-Really good base for earbuds-Mic quality is really good and doesn't pic up the other person's voice sitting on opposite ends of a sectional using discord with friendsCons:- only con is length of the cord, works good for a laptop but would be too short for desktop.

Much better than the competition
Originally purchased the Edifier speakers which were the same price. Returned them because they sounded muddled to my ears, with very poor performance at the treble end. Instead, I ordered the Presonus which I am happy with. Clear, well defined sound across the spectrum and I like that the power and volume controls are on the front. Of course these are $100 for the pair so they are not audiophile quality equipment. But very good for the price.

Better Sound than iFox!
I purchased this to travel with and I have owned the iFox for many years which I use at home. The iFox speaker is OK and I noticed when listening to podcasts, I often couldn't understand them when the shower was running (background noise). The INSMY seems to have an improved speaker. Also, the speaker is on the front so it projects better. Whereas the iFox speaker is on the back... so when it's mounted to your shower wall, the sound hits the wall then bounces to you. Whereas the INSMY projects right to you. The INSMY comes with a suction cup you can hand it from if you want or you can just lean it. If you're deciding between the two models, I'd definitely recommend the INSMY. Happy listening!
