Ideal for video
I use this filter for video to keep the correct shutter speed regardless of the aperture. A variable ND filter is of course perfect for this, I can't see any loss of sharpness or the like, but as expected there is a slight, barely noticeable color cast that can be easily corrected on the camera if you want.
