After causing a lot of amusement here when trying to activate face tracking via gesture, I eventually found that it was actually quite easy. Activation takes place independently of the use of an app or even just clamping the cell phone in the holder. All you have to do is turn on the device with a long press on the button on the front, then make the OK sign with your right hand, the LED light will turn green and you're good to go. It doesn't work that easily with the left hand, you have to turn your hand around so that the outside of your hand is facing the device and the three fingers are on the right side again, then you can also activate the tracking with your left hand. While this works perfectly and the tracking itself works very well, pausing is a bit trickier. If you make the gesture with your right hand, the LED light will turn blue and tracking will pause while the device remains in standby. If you work with your left hand, you can only pause briefly while holding your hand in front of it, after which it immediately jumps back to green and tracking starts again. Whether for video calls, video recordings or whatever, I find the face tracking tripod to be a very practical and useful gadget that does exactly what is expected of it reliably and well.
