Works well, fits snugly but not too tight. Perfect for my Contax Zeiss 50mm F1.7
Read the reviews for the previous iteration and they were mixed. I went for it because I knew I could return it, but I won't. Haven't used it with the sun near the field of view yet so can't say if the matte interior reduces flare. Feels good and at this price I can buy one for every lens I need.
