A high-quality and well made lens filter, on-par with the name brands.
I already own, love, and frequently use the 1/4 strength version of this filter, so I'm glad to get the 1/8 strength as well so I have a slightly more subtle option to use when shooting video.
I also own a set of expensive name brand Black Pro Mist filters, and I consider these to be perfectly on-par with those and would not hesitate to reach for them first on important/critical shoots.
I've had clients and subjects complain that my camera "picks up every little wrinkle" and filters like these can really help smooth things out just a bit, in a way that's not over-the-top.
Prospective buyers and those new to using diffusion filters in general should note that 1/8 is generally the least strong option in terms of effect, and that the effect you see will vary heavily depending on the source, nature and qualities of your light source.
A 1/8 strength filter such as this one can have range from having a noticeable, yet subtle effect, to having no noticeable effect at all, depending on the above factors. It's also often hard to see the full effect on a small screen/viewfinder. So be sure to practice and test with these before using them on an important project, so you're not surprised once you see things on a big screen.
