This weather station uses the reception of radio wave signals to get its information. The device can be installed on a wall to look like a panel or placed on a suitable surface using the included stand. There is also the possibility of connecting up to three battery-powered devices. Sensors for temperature monitoring of different areas, which appear to work at a distance of up to 100m from the base unit, can be connected to the main unit both via a USB Type-C cable and via a Battery powered, with a few limitations when using batteries. The item comes in a branded box that includes the device itself, a USB Type-C power cable, and an instruction manual. Please note, however, that operating the device with batteries requires a total of 5 x AAA batteries, 3 x AAA for the base unit and 2 x AAA for the sensor, these are not included in the scope of delivery. The weather station is made of high quality and durable plastic, the main unit and sensor appear to be well made, however it should be noted that the supplied sensor is not waterproof when mounted externally. The weather station features a large, high-resolution LCD screen, providing easy-to-read information such as time, date, weather forecast, indoor and outdoor temperature, moon phase, humidity and barometric pressure. The weather station has an automatic light sensor that adjusts the screen brightness on the backlit screen. However, you can also manually adjust these to a level that is comfortable for you. The base unit itself can be powered via USB Type-C or batteries, but provided that it's in use, the screen goes to sleep after around 10 seconds and needs a quick tap to wake it up again. Due to the use of radio wave signal reception, all information should be collected when the device is first turned on. However, there are manual options for setting the time etc. If there's no reception, an alarm clock function is also included should you want to make use of it, making it an all-in-one solution. It comes with a single (non-waterproof) sensor that can be used either outdoors or in another room. A sensor is integrated into the base unit itself, so initially two temperatures are displayed on the device IN/OUT. The device supports up to three of these sensors and could therefore theoretically monitor the temperatures of three additional locations provided they are within range of the base device. However, the price and availability of additional sensors is not yet known at the time of review. It is a quality product that is highly recommended for home use. Hopefully, for business users out there, additional sensors will be easy to source and reasonably priced. This would be a great product to monitor additional rooms or areas as well.
