Works well with Tuya
I bought this CO2 monitor mainly for its compatibility with the Tuya app, which I already use to control my smart light bulbs and smoke alarms. Being able to connect all my smart devices together and set up a connection that automatically triggers my smoke alarms when CO2 levels are dangerous is fantastic. As for privacy, I can only speak for the iOS version and Tuya has requested access to my location, local network, Bluetooth and Homekit. However, I don't think this is anything unusual. Location permission was only requested when I was trying to set up a home/away routine, which I think is a reasonable compromise for the convenience this smart device offers. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.
