This fingerprint door lock is simple to install. The trouble that I encountered with the installation was with regards to the latch and how deep it was inset in. This caused me problem with the lock not latching which was not the locks fault but it was my door. After correcting that problem the lock worked fine. Now setting up the app and the lock with fingerprint and security code was a challenge. Getting the app was not a problem but getting my phone to talk with it was a not fun. The instructions don’t explain things very well if the app won’t talk with the door lock. So even with Bluetooth enabled the app didn’t connect with the lock after messing around with the app and giving the app the proper permissions it finally found the lock. After that setting up a fingerprint and security code was easy. Fingerprint recognition seems to work well, the security code on the other hand doesn’t work so great for me. It’s a little hard for me to know if my number presses were being accepted, I typically have to try 3-4 times before it takes my security code. Another thing to mention is that the lock continued to beep at me even though the setting said it was muted. I had to change it from muted to one of the different sound settings and then change it back to muted to get it to be silent. Lastly I have to mention the battery compartment; it takes 4 AAA batteries which that are not secured by anything so if you don’t get the batteries in well the batteries will want to pop out. Overall this door lock is well made but there are a few things that could be improved that will make this much better.
