When I first used this device, I was pleasantly surprised at its sound quality, especially since it is so small and compact.I am a talk radio fan, and I use this recorder exclusively for recording radio shows via its "line in" jack. The good sound quality and ease of fast forwarding through commercial breaks is appreciated. Considering its convenient size, performance, and ease of use, it would no doubt also be ideal for students recording lectures.My only quibble is its lack of a timer function.
