Very sturdy, seems like something a professional would use. (I'm a hobbyist.) Came with a remote to have your Android or iphone take a picture of you. I bought it for photos of the heavens with a DSLR.
It's totally perfect for that.

So it's a very nice tripod, but I was surprised at its weight because my previous one was designed for backpacking and it was very light. This one is not the light tripod one would buy for 3+ days in the backcountry.
