Solid workmanship
The metal ring holds lenses firmly when they are locked in place. The mechanism for this is the same as the original bayonet. I personally find the FD bayonet adapter a little more difficult to connect the lens than the one for the K bayonet, but that may be a matter of getting used to, as I have worked much more with the K bayonet before. Connecting it to the camera itself (X bayonet) is very easy and everything feels very secure here too. The cardboard packaging doesn't bother me, but it could possibly bother other interested parties
