Nice Variable ND For the Price
I regularly use Variable ND's (VND) for filming with my mirrorless camera. They are very valuable if you want to cut light so you can shoot at specific shutter speeds. Most quality VNDs can be quite pricy, so I picked this one up as a backup and I'm happy I did because the quality of this filter is very good considering the price point.
The filter is nicely lightweight. It fits on my lens nicely and tightens well, but is not overly difficult to remove once tightened. As stated in the description, the filter does a very good job of cutting light without creating an X pattern as cheaper VNDs sometimes do. Also, I did not notice any color shift caused by the filter.
The only feature that this filter lacks is the ability to rotate the entire filter so that the user can adjust the overall polarizing effect of the filter. Apparently, this is the main difference between this lower cost filter and the higher end options. But if you are on a budget and need a VND, this is a great option for you.
