Batteries Have A Bit Of Give On The Top Edges
While I was inserting these into the charger, I pushed the top of each of the 3 batteries in turn to make sure they were making proper contact and found that the top had a bit of a give. This doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence to be honest. -1 star.
I've used the Canon LP-6E, the Canon LP-6ENH, and many third party equivalents of these batteries for many years for the Canon 7D, Canon 6D, and Canon 5D IV. I've had no problems with these, and definitely no issue with the aforementioned.
How these perform long term will remain to be seen. Tentatively, it appears these work at least as well as the OEM ones.
The battery charger has an LCD display showing the charge level of each battery. Quite nifty. I definitely like that over the OEM charger, which uses the number of blinks to indicate charge level.
And also, to be able to charge 3 batteries at the same time? This is a thing of beauty if you are using a power-hungry Canon R5.
