As a reviewer and user of cheap and more expensive action cameras I was actually quite surprised with the Akaso V50 Pro. The video quality is very good to excellent. The audio was what surprised me the most. Even without the external microphone, that you can purchase separately on Amazon, the audio was on par with the GoPro Hero 6 and 7. I was actually very surprised and satisfied with the audio I was getting out of this camera.. And it was a hair over $100.00. Where like cameras struggle in this area, the V50 Pro excelled.This camera comes with everything you need to get started with taking videos and the includes a water proof case and any kind of attachment you can think of. The microphone doesn't come with the Akaso V50 Pro, but in my testing I found that the inbuilt microphones gave outstanding performance and audio quality was top shelf. You can purchase the microphone for $10.00, from Amazon.Controls were intuitive and easy to get used to, although the touch screen capabilities were limited. The camera comes with more than one inbuilt microphone, spaced out on the camera, and as I said before, I think the audio on this camera is top shelf.You can watch my full review on my YouTube channel "Hayes Tech and Rom Reviews"...I will be putting this camera up against other budget action cameras soon but for now I am highly recommending this action camera if you can not afford to get a GoPro Hero 7 Black. I still think the GoPro Hero 7 Black is the standard by which all action cameras should be judged against (just my opinion) and the Akaso V50 Pro is giving GoPro a run for the money. So I can highly recommend the Akaso V50 Pro.

I am a caregiver for my grandmother. I live on the bottom floor and my grandmother lives on the top floor and I use this to monitor her when I am not in her area. I love it. My father can also look on the cameras at any time to see us. If you hold down the microphone symbol you can speak through the camera and talk to the people in the room. You don't have to buy an SD card or a membership to work these cameras. You would not be able to record however.

My son has been using this camera to make videos for his YouTube channel. So far the video and picture quality is well above most other cameras in this price range. I purchased the microphone to go with this as well separately. I wish there were more options for microphones, but the AKASO mic works well enough for now.

Marketed for GoPro, Insta360 and many other action cameras however if you have an Insta360 camera (or others) you will need a camera mount adapter not included with this kit that costs around $10.I have an Insta360 X2 and I'll probably just buy the Cage Protection Metal Frame for$28. It gives the option to mount additional accessories such as microphone, lights, etc.

At less than $15, this lavalier microphone is phenomenal! I compared sound with a Rode SmartLav+ and oh boy, the difference is barely noticeable unless you're listening via a super high-end system (which we all know most people will just be watching vlogs on their phones) It comes with a 3.5mm 2ch adapter to plug in with your cameras. Highly recommended!

We got this as an entry level camera for my 10 year old son. What we got was much more than I expected for the price. The image quality, durability and features are comparable to similar cameras that are several times the price. The only thing missing is a built in mic but for the price a don’t mind getting an external microphone at all.

We watched many reviews and tried two other cameras before getting this one. This (combined with Logitech's Logi Tune software, two ring lights, and a decent quality microphone) better meets our needs for zoom and other web meetings. We have several zoom meetings per week, and this far exceeds the performance of the other web cameras we tried. We are not professional broadcasters, but we are supposed to come across as credible in our meetings and this camera helps by not detracting from the experiences of others in those meetings.

I guess that webcams in this range are not advancing pretty fast, because this older model still beats the resolution of a lot of the newer cameras. Windows 10 is supported. I use it more often, now, because we have family meetings via Zoom, and this camera has a microphone built in.As with any Windows 10 device, sometimes you have to delete interfering device drivers and re-scan. You can do that by going to the device manager, or searching for 'device manager'. There was some trouble reading the microphone, until I did that.It's still supported by Logitech. Whoopee!
