Very practical adapter!
I used this adapter to connect an old manual telephoto lens to my J5. I'm very happy.
The J5 is set to "M" mode, it doesn't work any other way. Focusing is a bit difficult, but I just take multiple shots. The small sensor turns the telephoto lens into a real spy lens. Very funny.
I could imagine that the modern Nikkor lens doesn't work so well because the adapter ONLY works manually. But old manual lenses from the 80s are super cool with it. (Be careful, with large and heavy lenses, DO NOT touch and hold the J5, always hold the lens with your left hand and only release the shutter with your right hand!)
What bothered me a bit was the tiny safety screw that I had to remove before using it for the first time. I didn't have a screwdriver that small, so I had to use the tip of a pocket knife.
