This is a heavy duty laser pointer. Works great for playing with the cats! Even better no pesky batteries to replace! Very bright and seems well built. Only negative is it is a bit on the large side.

As other reviewers have noted this is an extremely bright laser pointer when you remove the installed cap with the diffraction grating and use it as a direct single beam. It far exceeds the maximum power listed on the label, and hence is not in compliance with the Federal Laser Product Performance Standard (FLPPS). I have measured this laser pointer and determined it to be a Class 3B laser. As such, it does not have the required safety features that a Class 3B laser requires, specifically a key switch or lockable switch rather than the simple push button this has.Additionally, the laser label states both "

This is like the 10th projector that I've owned. I've purchased several other brands in the past 15 years including, Epson, Panasonic, Vivitar, Sanyo, and Optoma. It seems the Optoma brand has always been the best bang for your buck. I use the projector mainly for movie viewing mostly streaming from my FireTV stick, media player, and Bluray connected to my receiver so I have no need for the projector's built in smart apps. Viewing 4K HDR material is awesome but this projector really renewed my love for 3D. I have been a fan of 3D ever since the beginning and have amassed over 200 3D movies. The 3D picture on the Optoma uhz50 is simply amazing. There is no ghosting, cross talk, nor convergence issues whatsoever as compared to LCD projectors. Just perfectly clear and colorful 3D images when paired with any DLP link 3d glasses. I've compared about half a dozen brands of glasses as well and it really narrows down to personal comfort. They are all very similar picture wise and I can't really tell any difference. I have several 4K, bluray, 3D box set discs and 3D is always my first choice for movies. 3D is so much better on this projector than in the theaters. I think all movies should be presented in 3D or at least as an option. If you are a 3D fan, this is the Best 3D Laser projector yet!!!

Bought this on super sale just to have for whatever. Got it today and was very surprised. I did not expect the level of clarity from a budget projector. No this is not some 4K short throw laser projector, but if you just need something for an out door event or even to put somewhere where you can't safely put a TV like a bathtub, this will more than fit your needs.

I actually use this to level things I put on walls with a laser leveler. It has good range of reach and can accommodate keeping the laser within 3deg of horizon so that the laser can self level

This projector is amazing! It makes my daughter’s room look like it’s in the middle of the northern lights. It creates a very serene environment. It’s completely adjustable for on/off of the laser stars and lamp, also the brightness and motion speed of the lamp. I’ve already recommended this to others.

This has two lenses, one for the blue laser and one for the green. The green laser is projecting a star field while the blue is creating a nebula effect. It comes with a USB and a wall connection. I really like the 6-hour shut off timer and the play/pause function. My only concern is that it's an actual laser, so I have it turned to the wall so kiddo won't look directly into it. The literature says that it's safe as long as you don't look directly into it. It would probably look better if I could point it out toward the room.
