Perfect! Opens up a whole new shooting expereince!
High quality construction at a GREAT price. Works as advertised. I found no issue at all with the release pin. As mentioned preciously, just pull it back toward the body to release.

The release button
This is my second one, replacing because of a cracked windshield. Installer broke the holder trying to remove. The new one has the release button the back of the cell phone holder. Takes two hands to release without fear of it popping off into the floor. The pervious holder had the release on the side so that it was easy to push and remove the phone with one hand.

RELEASE THE CLAMP!
I had good experience with this however i couldn't get the clamp to tighten. The manual (OR LACK THEREOF) sucks. A lot. So i returned it for another because i thought it was broken. Received the new one and same "problem"... I was dumbfounded. Then my father showed me how to tighten the clamp and i was astounded. After trying it however, the shaking was 30% more. I was like wow this thing sucks haha. So overall, keep the clamp released because the gravity helps it to stay down... Even though it wiggles which makes my mind think the opposite. Very good, very stable well made fast shipping and just- all you need.

Release button defective
Bought this in January but just started using it. After two weeks button on the back WILL NOT release the phone. Need some customer service for this problem but so far no luck.

Prevents accidental release
I've used this to hold a camera, with a 300 mm zoom. Put it on my backpack strap and was impressed with how stable it was. I love the feature that prevents the release "button" from getting accidentally pressed. I plan on experimenting with it on my belt as well; nice to have that flexibility.

Best Car Phone Mount
The release is on the back and not on the side. When it is on the side it is difficult to release.I have had to return others. This one is the best.

Perfect!
This works great for my iPhone 12 Pro, fits perfectly and the release button is so much better than the spring release holders. Love it!
