This is a great little camera except for one thing: No sync cord connection! In the 1970's we learned how to remove red eye: Get the flash off the camera. If the flash is away from the lens the chances of red eye are greatly diminished. This camera has a built in flash, but no sync cord connection for a flash on a bracket. The built in flash works well and gives good pix, but red eye is a problem. Using a flash on a bracket or off camera solves this problem. Without a sync cord connection you can't connect a flash. SOLUTION: A hot shoe adapter can be attached to the hot shoe. The hot shoe adapter has a sync cord connection to attach another flash. Hook up a flash on a bracket, plug it into the sync cord connection and you get great flash photos with no red eye! Set the camera to M for Manual and set the shutter speed to 1/60 and the aperature to F 5.6. Set these same settings on an automatic flash and you are in business. Enjoy!Update: The 1/60, F 5.6 @ 200 ISO. Is not a good balance. The flash is too over powering. I like mostly available light with a little fill in flash. To get a better balance meter the available light and then adjust the flash to provide a little fill in. It takes a little trial and error to get it right, but once you get it, the results are very good. Another option is to bounce the light off the ceiling for even more difused light. Good luck!

This cheap flash gave me a quick and super bright flash, and there is no hesitation in every flash, although it does not have a lot of functions, its light has a professional effect.

The flash light works great in S1 mode. I had some minor compatibility issues trying to use it as a main flash light with mirrorless camera

I bought this bag on a total risk. Great Travel bag! This and my Ogio Bandit backpack make up my travel set. In this bag, I can pack a gripped Canon 70D, 24-105 f4l IS, 430EX flash. If I want to add video to this, I ungrip the 70D, and the neewer 160LED light, and my shotgun mic,& ipad mini. thats the main body. The top pouch handles batteries, charger, card reader, memory card, and a fold down direction flash diffuser, and stand shoe. In the tripod attachement point, either a lightweight manfrotto tripod, or targus monopod. i can pack alot of bang in this bag, for just afew bucks, and it is at home on the plane, city touring, or in the case on my motorcycle!

I orded this flash since the light bulb on my previous flash broke and needed a new flash quick for my next gig. This flash turned out better than expected and works great with the Canon Eos R. Definitely an affordable budget friendly flash.

Significantly brighter flash but i was expecting an actual individual flash. This goes over your camera flash and magnifies light pretty well

V860-IIIS (S stands for Sony). I purchased this flash to mount on to my Sony A7R3, and I am satisfied with the product. Just mount it on the camera and you are good to go, as the set up is as simple as opening a can of soda. I use the TTL auto mode with auto settings and it works great. The front dual option light/flash gives an added versatility of using it as a light, flash or not use it at all. The flash includes an array of coloured cards, which helps a photographer to be creative and experiment with adding colour to flash light. The flash head can be tilted at direction and can be used in combination with other off-camera flashes. A good product!
