As you block more light, you can extend the exposure time (leaving the shutter open longer to let in light more slowly) to create blur with any moving objects (water, clouds, etc). On one end, a very slight blur can help to create a ‘film’ look. And on the other end, it can be used to construct some vastly creative images.This is a good basic set. Each filter is clearly labeled. The combination ND/PL in a single filter keeps it lightweight (to not put any additional strain on the gimbal). And, they’re priced fairly ($38 at the time of the review). This is a good buy from a reputable company and an easy reccomendation.

Awesome lens, reasonably lightweight and small for how long the range is. I got some good photos of the eclipse with this lens and it's excellent for wildlife photography.

I love this filter! This is my first ND filter and I was looking to get some good long exposures but wanted to learn more before dropping a lot of money on a high end filter. Since I received the filter it has rarely left my lens. I haven't seen much in the way of color casting and any that may be there is easily correctible in post. I would definitely recommend this filter to anyone looking to get into long exposure photography.

Used it for eclipse photography with my Olympus PEN and a 150mm telephoto lens, did the job very well indeed!

This 10 stop Zomei ND filter has very little color cast and is does not degrade the sharpness of my lens. I've attached an early morning fall landscape photo--exposure settings: 15 sec, f9, ISO 100 and the proof in the shot. This a very good 10 stop filter and I highly recommend it.Highly Recommended--RJW

It's a good Nd filter, and the price is affordable...

This ND filter has its uses for example blurring the movement of waterfalls without over exposing the rest of the shot. Unfortunately for my use it is not dark enough. As I am just starting with experimenting with long shutter times I thought the range of this filter would be fine but I didn't really appreciate how long my shutter would have to be open for the light conditions I have and the effect I want. I really need a ND1000 (10 stops). That's not to say there is anything wrong with this ND filter it works fine is well built comes with a storage box to keep it well protected with an included cleaning cloth. I should have just read up a bit more before getting this as it's not dark enough for me.Something else to think about I couldn't get the lens hood on the lens after this was fitted.
