Strong and sturdy, completely droppable, good quality and amusing additions to the pictures, also simple games available

I'm so pleased with this little system. I may have received one in exchange for my review through Amazon's Vine program, but I will be purchasing more for more rooms in my house. These are excellent at any price, let alone at $20 each (current price including coupon discount).Imou has an app that you can download, and once you get it in your phone, the app pretty much walks you through the rest of the setup. The instructions for selecting settings in the app could have been a little more clear, but I was able to muddle my way through in a reasonable amount of time.The range of the camera is surprisingly broad and captures the better part of a good-sized room. The picture clarity is excellent. And the system is great about sending your phone alerts to human movement when the camera sees it. The motion detector is something you can turn on and off. So, these little cameras can act as surveillance cameras, or as an alarm system. I bought these cameras for the sole reason to monitor things at my elderly Mom's house, she insists on living alone. I just wanted live-feed cameras (no recording) and I must say these work great. I too was confused on the setup and the manufacturer should provide better instructions on how to get going. I referred to Amazon answers to get started.Make sure you are logged into the Network (internet) before start-up-where you are installing the cameras. I sat right next to the router. I started the download of the app and I took the cameras out of the box one, by one. I plugged the first camera in (be sure to remove plastic from lens). I started the set-up on the app. As others have mentioned, you must scan with the YI camera the QR code that comes up on your phone to complete set-up, so don't even try until you are ready to install the cameras. The app was a little stubborn at first, with the QR scan, because I did not take the plastic off the lens I think. I placed my Samsung Android phone about 6 inches away from the camera to scan, once it scanned I followed the prompts, took me a minute or two to get the first one done, then it was easy. Plug in the next camera and hit the plus sign in the upper right of the home screen on the app to add the next camera, scan, follow the prompts, done. Very Easy.Just a couple of down side things. It only comes with a 6' micro USB cord. I ordered 4 20' Micro USB cords and they did the trick, but that was an extra cost. The field of view is fairly narrow, they state it will capture 112 field of view, mine looks about 80 degrees at best. I placed one camera in the garage, two rooms away from the router. Even though my phone should strong wireless signal the camera had a problem connecting.But other than that, the night vision is really good and the picture is very clear. When I check on my Mom it boots up fairly fast. I usually have to tap on each camera within the app for it to go live. I have a home surveillance hard-wired system at home from Q-see and this little system beats it hands down.

Works good I guess I really didn't buy it for myself, but for a friend that was having a face to face interview via The Internet.

This is a good quality camera for the price, the SD card holds lots of pictures, and the only down side is that one of the buttons broke already and my daughter had not had it a full week. Even with the broken button, it still works.

The camera fit nicely on my monitor and recorded at a good quality but the fov was a bit too wide but overall it is a great camera for a great price

I'm anticipating the above results based on previous V-Tec products.My 3 year old grandson will love it for his birthday.

Extremely affordable. Quick delivery. Set-up was abc 123. Couldn't have been easier. The video feed is incredibly clear. The audio is crisp as well. I am impressed to say the least. I live in NM. The weather here lately has been erratic to say the least. We've experienced rain, lite snow fall, frosty temps and sturdy gusts of wind. The unit stood tall through all of it, with little to know cover/protection from the elements. I'm sold completely. My wife and I have told family and friends. I will be purchasing more. This is exactly the sort of °360 surveillance we've been seeking out for some time now.
