This is a great camera. My son needed a SLR camera for a college class. This is a really nice camera.

Using this camera for outdoor security. Excellent user manual provided with camera. Very detailed on the camera as well as the app. The camera is excellent, video quality is great. The camera was easy to setup and install. Will buy more.

I added this camera to my existing home security NVR platform to increase the visibility out from my garage door area. My existing platform (WD Readyview 4MP) worked well, but lacked the higher resolution wide-angle view I needed in this particular spot. The camera was as close to plug and play simplicity as you could ask for and also easy to install from the hardware side.For the install I swapped out the existing "bullet" style 4MP camera that came included with the prior NVR platform. I was able to reuse the existing wiring and the new Amcrest housing was easy to secure into position to the wood trim above my garage. With the mounting bracket in place, the camera adjustment is all handled through loosening and tightening a single screw on the front. Amcrest also includes the little wrench to get this done, as well as a cool sticker to help drill your holes if the surface (such as brick) would require it.As with other PoE cameras, the Amcrest UltraHD 4K Turret offers a plethora of connectivity options. Its highly compatible with existing recording platforms. In my case I have it connected to my WD ReadyView NVR recorder, which was able to accept the camera into its feed. I also had it connected to my Synology NAS through Surveillance Station with ease. The camera also has its own standalone webserver to handle local recording if you have a MicroSD card installed in the camera or pay for their cloud storage offering. This webserver can be interfaced with a common web browser or thier mobile app. I tried the iOS app for functionality which turned out to be nice to have on the initial installation, although I settled in with my existing NVR platform once it was fully connected.Image and video quality has been very nice. I've configured a nice color balance with a low level of HDR through the cameras setting, which helped out more than I initially thought. There are some areas that usually have stronger shadows near a retaining wall, and with HDR enabled I can see some of the detail of what is on the ground, versus a dark black shadow with HDR off.Low light quality is also very, very good. I have some background light through a lamp post and another automatic accent light nearby. With my old camera I used IR at night to see the surrounding area well. During my initial deployment of the Amcrest camera I was getting some washout with the IR light turned on from light reflecting off my overhang, but as soon as I disabled the IR light I realized it wasn't even needed. I had full black and white visibility out into the street and around my landscape that was previously never visible at night with the old IR light from the previous camera.From a build quality perspective the camera has a nice metal shell and glass covers in front of the camera and IR emitter. Its a matte paint finish with a small Amcrest branded print on the front. Compared to my previous camera with a white body but a black plastic front, this blends in much better with the surrounding surface and doesn't stand out as much.

This camera has a fixed focus, and a decent camera quality. But for the price this is definitely a great camera.

Fun filters for the camera and video camera and when not taking pictures there are kids games on the camera!

Was a little apprehensive buying a webcam on Amazon, solely because of the sheer number of options in this budget price range. Many of these webcams seem to have a questionable or suspect review feedback, based on a well-known 3rd party aggregated review evaluation website.I received this camera and happy to say: so far, so good. The 1920x1080p resolution (2 MP) is more than sufficient for webcam purposes. Low-light performance and frame rate is quite good. Plug-and-play setup is easy enough for anyone. Overall, I'm happy with the video quality from this little unit. For reference, I also possess a 720p, lower resolution Logitech webcam this is terrible compared to this one, in terms of picture quality.I strongly recommend anyone who wants decent video quality on their webcams to go with at least 1080p resolution or higher. These days it really doesn't make much sense to opt for the lower 720p resolution.This camera is more expensive than the minimum, basic webcam due to having autofocus capability, I believe - and reflects a solid overall build quality. I'm satisfied with this webcam and look forward to doing conference calls for work with it.I have a background in surveillance cameras and wouldn't really recommend going with anything less than 2 Megapixels these days as it's become so very affordable while offering a visible step up from 720p resolution products.

My initial camera was defective. Blink customer service assisted with the troubleshooting to confirm the camera was defective. Blink promptly replaced the camera. The camera works as advertised. It is a good starter camera system or a backup camera system. Even with the initial defective camera I have given Blink a five star rating based upon there customer centric service.

I love this Camera for an easy to use simple camera and video recorder. It's a user friendly lightweight camera with a retro vibe feel to it. It is a great camera for a great price. A perfect camera for the younger photographer in your family.
