I'm an amateur photographer and needed to buy this flash to get better shots.What's included:-Macro ring light-Mini stand-User Manual- 4 adapter rings( 52mm, 58 mm, 67 mm ,77mm)The photos shown were taken using 58 mm and it fit perfectly without any issuesYou're going to need 4 AA batteries (not included )The flash has an has a lot of features such as: it has LCD display , supports manual mode,supports TTL autoflash, adjustable light, you can adjust the flash tibes( tube A , tube B or both of them) and many more.Overall it's a great buy and I'll be using it alot.

I bought this to convert an old heavy Manfrotto Tripod into a light stand for an external flash. I'm currently using it with the Calumet SpeedBox Flash Adapter and it works perfectly.

Effective, but expensive.
This works reasonably well on my Olympus TG-5; especially in digital microscope mode. The adapter guides the focusing LED into a ring for macro photography. The camera's flash cannot be used with the ring installed, and the LED is not as bright as the flash. However, it does allow video to be shot up close. Like the FD-1 flash diffuser, the price is pretty steep for a few pieces of plastic welded together.

Not a ring flash, but nice bit of extra illuminati
It's by no means a ring flash, but it can give you a nice bit of extra illumination for macros.

Need to cover flash
This does not cover the flash on the camera, so there is residual lighting from the camera flash. This results in red lightening on your specimens. I cover the camera flash with a piece of dark paper to prevent this, and the ring flash does great for lighting macro subjects.

Are good for a strobist
This product is very good if you use it with flashes strobist, those are pretty lightweight lightstand and umbrella are pretty good, you have to tratartlos auqnue carefully. What they are not very good are the Shoe Mount Swivel Flash Adapter can be used, but the slot to insert the flash is a complicated mechanism. It could be simpler.Anyway, the price is very, very good for what you get. You just have to treat them with care.

Great product for my needs
I bought this product to use in macro photography. I am using the Tamron 180mm lens with a 2x adapter. As such without a flash, it would be very difficult handheld. I found in the past that the small flash alone caused specular highlights on the insects, however, with this product attached to the flash the light source is that much bigger and the lighting is much smoother. I am sure there are better more expensive options but this works well for my needs and I am happy with the results.
