Thank you for a wonderful microphone. I've had a small problem with recording and it took some troubleshooting to find out what the setting should be for it to work on my computer. This doesn't have anything to do with the microphone but with the settings on the recording program. Please remember to speak into the microphone.

this microphone kit was just what I was looking for

This is a fantastic desk microphone! It produces really clear sound, but it also picks up a lot of environment noise. However no one over Skype or phone has ever complained about sound quality or excess noise. I use this microphone mainly for making calls over the computer and sporadically have Skype calls. The microphone casing is fairly heavy, with a metal mesh on top, metal casing, and anti-slip surface at the bottom. In the posterior aspect of the microphone there is a female 3.5 mm headphone port (which I use a lot when switching from speakers to headphones) and a female micro USB port used for power. Right beneath the wire mesh that makes up the outer surface of the case, there is a win barrier foam which covers the entirety of the wire mesh, and beneath that there is a red power light indicator.Overall again, this is a great microphone with great sound quality and it looks fairly nice on the desk. I have gotten complements not only on the looks, but also on the sound quality which is what matters most for a microphone. I would definitely recommend this microphone to anyone who needs a desk microphone. I have used this microphone for dictation with pretty good accuracy, however this is not a dictation microphone as it pics up a lot of environment sounds.I was not compensated or given any discounts in order to write this review. This microphone is such good quality and I use it everyday!

It holds my Shure SM58 microphone fine, but when I add in the X2u adapter it falls over, so you have to reposition it to where it's holding the adapter instead of the mic. Other than that, it's a great little mic holder! It's fallen a few times (on carpet, mind you) and hasn't broken yet, so I can say the quality is (at least) decent and won't break easily.

For such a small form factor this mix packs quite the punch with crisp sound quality. I bought this microphone to mainly use for school and it works no issues. I like that the microphone is plug and play, so there are no drivers needed which can be a deal breaker for most.The main concern with microphones in this price range is the P sound can sound terrible, but this microphone, even without a foam cover, sounds amazing. There is no distortion and the vocals are crisp and accurate. I have absolutely no complaints about this microphone.
