Works as advertised, simple and cheap.
Great, seems a bit tough to turn when connecting lens and might feel like it is 'scratching' , but seems smooth enough. Obviously not Auto Focus compatible, but if you have lots of Canon lenses and you don't mind using a bit of manual focus, this relatively cheap product allows you to significantly expand your M4/3 lens selection.

Superb value! When you compare to other tripods costing hundreds more, this tripod is practically just as good. It's sturdy and it's adjustments are precise.

great price
some slack/movement at the locking lever; the slack is really felt at longer ranges; definitely a great knock off to the RRS tripods for those that cannot afford the RRS.

Great for regular & table top tripods
I initially bought a Manfrotto 490 Center ball head thinking the smaller size and single knob operation would make a nice match for my Feisol table top tripod... but the Mnafrotto 490 knob was wing shaped, not round; it touched the top of the legs and made panning or any adjustment impossible. Plus it was a bear to engage 490 with the 200PL; I imagine even with a monopod this might be a problem. ( The 200PL is the quick release base plate that I have used on all my cameras/lenses for over 15 years ) this newer 496 works well with it on my 290 tripod and surprisingly well on my Feisol table top tripod for my Nikon D800e/D810 (496 center ball head cost $40 less than the recommended Feisol head).

Get what you pay for
for the money its a great starter set.. tripods and umbrellas are a tad bit flimsy but really you can't really beat the price of this set up.

Like These Better than Some Fancier Models
I had tried some tripods with a better looking design which really seemed more focus on providing a nice sturdy handle to hold up a phone or camera to take pictures. One problem with them was I couldn’t get the legs to hold the position I wanted. These Amazon Basic tripods do much better in that department although the don’t look as sharp. I’ll take function over looks anytime. A slight negative is the mechanism to control the “platform” angle. I use these tripods mainly to elevation 10-13” monitors I use with Raspberry Pi’s. The mechanism has a release device which allows you to change the angle side-to-side and front-to-back. When you’ve got it where you want, you then renegade the locking mechanism. All pretty easy but you can only move in preset increments which makes seem a little klunky. All-in-all these Amazon Basic tripods are my favorites.

Really professional grade
This thing is really tall and not with middle extension like other tripods. Makes it stable. It’s heavy not light so be ready to lift but quality is superb. The sweep

Good for the price.
Though I've not put this item through it's paces yet, I'm not going to put this product down. Like all tripods, it does it's job. Like everything else mechanical, things wear out. Before purchasing this item I read both good and bad reviews. I own a Nikon Z5 camera with an FTZ adapter with a Tamron 18 to 400 zoom lens mounted on it. From the tests I've done, this tripod does it's job. Leg locks are arguably the weekness of ALL tripods and need adjustment from time to time. Even with adjusting they wear out. Even high end tripods wear out.Now if you're going to be going to ruggid country, I might suggest something more expensive. But for those needing a tripod for light use, by all means buy this product. It's not professional grade, but those tripods have a limited market and a high dollar cost. I'm happy with my purchase.

Very sturdy
I was a little nervous about the stability. A lot of tripods are flimsy. This tripod is sturdy and durable. I’m really excited to use this for some iPhone recordings.
