I bought this lens because a friend told me to, although I do not regret it. This is my favorite lens so far, it's aperture allows me to have great night photographs, and the price is astonishing. it arrived in perfect conditions, and the item itself is a pure jewel for its price. 10/10

There's a reason they call it the nifffy fifty, it's amazing!!! This is my first lens I've ever bought and do not have any regrets. It takes amazing photos, and the low aperture is the best.

It's a versatile, but beginner level tripod. I do bird photography and use heavy lenses with >200mm. Given maximum weight at 22 lbs, it can barely handle my full frame DSLR camera with a lens. Although, if instead you use mirrorless, full frame digital camera, it may work. The rule of thumb is, whenever you use a tripod, - you turn lens/camera stabilization off. I wouldn't use the maximum length of 59" due to stability issues, but at 48" height it's ok. What I really don't like is that tripod legs extension works by screwing the knobs. There are 4 knobs on each leg, and 3 legs total, so it takes 12 screws to have a tripod at its maximum length. That's why 4 stars only.

This lens works great as a 35mm equivalent prime on my fiancees EOS M3, great focal length for general photo/video purposes. The maximum aperture of f2 gives good low light performance and decent bokeh for a wider lens. The autofocus is also quiet which is nice.

I bought a Z mount platform specifically for the S line lenses, and yet again, this doesn't disappoint. I bought this because I found I've been trying to do more "macro" style photography with my regular zoom lenses, which doesn't really work very well. As such, this is my first macro lens. Well, this delivers.My one and only complaint isn't really about the lens itself, it's more about Nikon's website/documentation about the lens. Yes, it technically has a max aperture of f2.8, but that's only achievable when focusing further than about 1.7 meters away. If you get closer than that (which you need to for macro photography), it starts incrementally stopping down. At closest focus, it's maximum aperture is f4.5. After I thought about it for a bit, I realized that's just how it has to be due to how the aperture ratio works, so it makes sense and I'm not upset by it. F2.8 at closest focus would be absolutely ginormous and it would make the lens huge. I just wish the documentation said something about that. Maybe it does and I missed it, but in case it doesn't or in case you missed it too, now you know. (I also have to assume most other macro lenses do something similar, in the same way a lot of zoom lenses have variable max apertures, but I don't have the experience with macro lenses to know.)

This is a wonderful lens! The image quality is absolutely incredible. I was blown away by how sharp the photos are. My reason for purchasing this lens was to improve my indoor, low light photos and the large aperture allows me to take very sharp, lower ISO photos compared to the kit lens. If you're on the fence about this lens - buy it because you won't be disappointed.
