Bought these because they were strongest/largest binoculars I could find that were affordable. The field of view is a bit narrow as expected; but if you point them to the moon it looks amazing. I usually use celestron trailseeker ED 10 x 40's which are amazing. The clarity and brightness of these is just as good but capture more light even though the magnification is 25x.When you look at Pleaides for example, that whole cluster just fits in the field of view, but the detail is amazing. The same for the dagger in Orion's belt, specifically Orion's nebula.Unfortunately you'll really need a sturdy tripod - and I mean more so than just beefy legs. My wife and I currently use the "Orion Tritech II field tripod with fluid pan head" for our other binoculars, and it is actually really sturdy. But it's almost impossible to keep these binoculars stationary if you tilt or raise them.It has to do with the fact that with most tripods now you attach a track piece to the binocular tripod adapter, then slide that piece onto the tripod. That connector is plastic and has some play; so really large binoculars will move side to side because the track fit is not super tight.So my recommendation is skip the usual tripods and go with the Orion Monster Parallelogram Binocular Mount and Tripod. It is the only one that will work steadily and will allow you to move these binoculars around comfortably and remain fixed. Yes they are expensive. But trust me you'll just waste money on any other tripod. The ones that are super heavy duty for movie cameras/etc. do not adjust up and down and are not meant for extreme tilts of looking up at the sky like the Orion Monster.Overall these are amazing and it's nice to have the magnification without lack of clarity or brightness!

We bought this for our two-year-old for Christmas, and he loves these binoculars. They really do work and magnify what you're looking at. My only complaint is that the neck strap is really thin; it's just a cord that might be used for a drawstring bag, but I do like that it has a safety release clasp. Still, it's pretty long and I worry that he could get it wrapped around his finger and cut off circulation. But despite that, it's a great first binocular set for my curious son.

I wish I had this Binocular sooner, it works well, for star watching or bird watching etc.Easy to mount on a tripod.

It is unbelieveble to get this great magnify binocular with the cheap price. The only fault is the cap of eyepieces and objectives fall easily

Nice Monocular. Seems sturdy and well built. I was disappointed in the generic case. I think the case is actually a binocular case.

I just received the NV binoculars and tried them out last night in complete darkness. 1st I went to the areas of my home that have Nest out door cameras and looked for the infrared signature. The Nest cams looked like a 60watt light bulb. Then I view the Nest cam data and saw the binoculars infrared light as a powerful beam of light, many times brighter then the Nest cam infrared. I went into the woods and was very impressed with the zoom in, focus and infrared adjustments and ease of operation. Only minor problem is the screen fogged up from the weather and breath. I can't wait to use these camping. I would love to see these in the future with Blue tooth and smart phone app. Only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because of the unknown longevity of the binoculars. Just for a comparison ,the only other infrared device I have is a Nest outdoor cam, and this NV Binocular video is much clearer and sharper than the Nest cam.
