Nicely done. Only tried UV filter and lens hood so far, but the neutral density filters will give me a nice big aperture in bright sunlight.

Good to have item for any camera
Don't really know weather it protects from UV or rather how UV light plays in for photography ! I'm a total newbie. But I can tell for sure that it gives me peace of mind that without any interference with the video, it is protecting my camera lens from dust particles. I keep this filter always on. Thats what I want to say.

OEM Lens hood
I decided to spring for a little more to get the Canon OEM lens hood for my 50 mm lens. Although there are cheaper options, many of the review were less that glowing regarding fit and finish. I am happy with this purchase, but it is not the cheapest option.Pros:Fit is perfect and build seems to be good.Cons: it is a ring of plastic that costs $23

One small design issue fixed and the UV concern ad
Was almost perfect. A $10 pop socket hack later and it is perfect. With any hood on any lens I couldn’t get my fingers on the cap edges. Now I can easily. Also I was concerned about the UV filter being built In to the adapter. I tested with my 30mp Eos-R and a 15-35l, 24-105l and 70-200l. I looked corner to corner zoomed in up to 400%... no difference in sharpness I could see. I have not had a chance to test with night time flaring but I expect no issues. My $$$ NiSi system is for sale... anyone???

Canon ES-68 Lens Hood
This lens hood is an exact fit for my EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Canon Lens. I made the desicion to go with the original Canon piece as opposed to a cheaper knock off due to the fact that I have original Canon Lens Hoods for different lenses. I always prefer the better build of the original. This lens hood is very solid, durable, and has a great matte black finish. The hood also has a great locking feature too so when you put it on it clicks and locks into place. There is a button on the outside of the lens hood that you press to release the hood (see photo). This lens hood does a great job at resisting flare in my at home studio as well as when doing walk-around photography. It can be reversed or put on backwards as to surround the lens which is great for transport so that it doesn't take up space. If you're not sure if this will fit your lens, go to Canons website and check compatability. If you have the 50mm f/1.8 STM Canon Lens, then I highly recommend you purchase this piece. UV filter has some ghosting in certain conditions. not egregiously bad but another thing to look out for.. came clean and has a neat little pouch when not in use. id recommend a premium UV filter if you plan to leave it on most of the time
