I got this for my theater room I put together 2 years ago. It's been working great since I put it in. I chose this partly bc I didn't want to pay an exorbitant amount for a 4k projector back then.It's worked great thus far. It's very adjustable and easy to use. The picture has been bright and clear. I have a 120 in. projector screen installed and even though this is only 1080P, the picture is still great. Until 4k is more affordable and more content is in 4k, I'll be sticking with this projector.My only complaint, and it's something I knew going into a projector set up, is the heat produced by the projector. It will warm up my theater room over a long period of time. It's not been a huge deal since the fan in the room somewhat counteracts the heat, but you will notice it when you walk out of the room. But that's a known drawback of these types of bulb projectors.I will probably upgrade to a different type when this one eventually breaks, but that could be a while.I probably have put about 1000 hours on the unit thus far.

This projector is great. We use it for outdoor movies for our neighborhood. We have to wait until dusk, but that's okay, it's starting to get darker earlier now. Also, it doesn't have 4K, it takes the 4K signal and drops it to 1080. HDR I couldn't get my PS4 to recognize, and I haven't figured out if it's possible to enable 3D on SBS content, as I have a lot of that.EDIT: I was able to find that I could choose SBS on the projector and get my 3D movies playing.

The reason why some people can’t get SOUND it’s because of the HDMI cable ! Make sure you get a new model preferably a 4K compatible. At first Neither the HDMI cable or VGA worked with sound but then I wanted a longer length and I bought a brand new one and finally the speakers on the projector worked!!

In April 2016 I purchased the Optoma HD26 1080P projector and fell in love with Optoma projectors at that time. 2 years later I decided to make the jump to 4K UHD and in February 2018 I purchased the Optoma UHD 60. It rendered a true 4K picture and the picture was stunning. The only drawback was it wouldn't play 3D Blu Rays. It was one of the early Optoma projectors using the Texas Instruments 4K DLP chip and it would not render a 3D picture. When the Optoma UHZ50 Smart 4K UHD Laser Home Theater Projector became available the specs said it would play my 3D Blu Rays, and I still had my DLP Link 3D Glasses, and being powered by a laser, the 3D picture was even brighter than I had hoped for. In fact, everything about this projector exceeded my expectations. The 3D picture is actually better than some Real 3D movies shown in theaters. The 4K UHD picture is the best 4K UHD picture I've ever seen except for the $8,000 Sony and JVC projectors, and neither of them as a picture as bright as the UHZ50, which sells for less than $3,000 on Amazon. My first projector was an Epson, which I bought in 2013. From that time forward I have only purchased Optoma projectors since all of my research has indicate Optoma projectors seem to always have the best bang for the buck. The UHZ 50 renders a beautiful picture, with more than enough juice for a clear, bright picture in a room with the blinds open and a light or two left on, although I always darken my home theater to make it more like the theater experience. Now that I can project my 3D Blu Ray discs I can't imagine what will motivate me to buy my next projector. We are still a few years away from affordable 8K home theatre projectors so I'm hoping my Optoma UHZ 50 will keep me happy for a few years. Unless Optoma finds a way to alienate me, I'm guessing I will be a faithful Optoma owner for many years.

Bought this projector for my kid who usually spent 1 or 2 hours per day in watching cartoons. With a projector we can avoid facing the source of light directly, I’m pretty relieved about this. Below is some comments:[Distance] I place the projector about 8 feet far from the white wall, then we can sit behind the projector, just satisfied with the project ratio.[Brightness] I use it in my basement with windows. The brightness is pretty good at night and acceptable during the day, as the photos attached.[Resolution] It is a 1080p one, which I think it’s the best choice for us. The price will be much higher for a real-4K projector and 720p is not enough.[System] It’s not a smart one with Android OS, but it do support Airplay, I just use my iPhone to share the video, just the same convenient with a smart one.[Size] A small one with bag, so it is easy to bring it everywhere you want.

This is a pretty good product for the $70 price point. The image is good enough to throw up a movie on the side of the house or inside the garage for a big group. Keep in mind this is your 1-2K$ professional projector, it's small and portable so the screen quality won't be quite the same and that's ok. It gives me the flexibility to do an outdoor movie night with no bulky equipment.It has built in speakers, but you can also run a 3.5mm cord out of the back to a set of computer speakers or a Bose for example. Using the projector and a set of speakers ups the experience quality quite a bit. The remote has good functionality and makes the projector easy to use.

Excellent Quality! I previously purchased an EPSON PROJECTOR that cost over 1k but returned it because my wife didn't approve lol. I took a gamble on a less expensive one here because of good review and it was a pure winner. My goal was to find a projector that was good quality and could support a little bit of sunlight. Worked perfectly.

For the price it's a great little projector. My kids and I use it to watch movies using a 100 inch screen..pictures pretty clear. Not 4k Vizio clear but it's decent and gets the job done
